Best vacation ever

The reality of the condo was better than what the photos conveyed. It was clean, we had everything we needed plus more. The kitchen was well stocked with basic condiments and the array of beach gear made our trips to the beaches effortless. The furniture was in great shape and comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor furniture, sitting on the lanai listening to the birds first thing in the morning. The complex is well maintained and quiet. We loved our two weeks at this condo and can hardly wait to go back!

Comfortable Convenient Condo

Lovely, clean, well furnished, comfortable, reasonably priced condo. Only minor complaint: AC, which worked fine, was on a 2 hr timer. I understand the reason but still a minor inconvenience. Have stayed in Waikoloa Beach Resort condos over a dozen times and this is one of most comfortable. Would stay here again!

Perfect Vacation

We spent 4 weeks the location was close to everything, the unit was perfect, bed was comfortable, kitchen had all the dishes, silverware, pots & pans we needed it was just a great vacation

Excellent visit

Everything was wonderful. We particularly appreciated the beach towels and chairs. The lanai was great for early morning birdsong serenades. Excellent home base for exploring the northern half of the Big Island. We would stay here again.

Great Location Nice View

This condo unit is described well and is accurate. The location is great. The furnitures both inside and out are well maintained and comfortable. The appliances need some updating but did not stop us from enjoying the stay. The electric stove had uneven burners which could be an hazard. The one downside is the limited use of the pool. There was maintenance that was not communicated to us before hand and even got extended by two more days beyond what their sign said. We used the pool 2 out of the 8 days we were there. Overall we enjoyed our vacation.

We enjoyed our stay. Overall, the property was really nice. The condo was roomy and had a beautiful lanai which we enjoyed very much. Furnishings were nice, especially the very comfortable king size bed, and there were plenty of towels, linens, dishes, etc. The well-stocked "beach closet" was great! Snorkel equipment, coolers, boogey boards, beach umbrellas, etc...everything we needed for our beach days. As far as areas for improvement, some upgrades will probably be needed soon...the air conditioning worked, but was touchy and had to be turned on in a very specific way (the ceiling fans really helped keep the condo cool and comfortable), mismatched window blinds...some that were bent and/or didn't easily open and close, the bathroom sinks were crusted with hard-water deposits and the rain-shower shower head did not work. The coy ponds were stagnant and covered with algae. Communication prior to our arrival was good, especially the directions from the airport and where to park. A map of the area showing pool and workout room location (with correct access codes), nearest beaches and how to access, grocery store, etc. would have been helpful. Unit cleaning could have been better. We found foil candy wrappers on the living room shag rug and a dirty sock left by a previous guest was under the bed.

Lovely condo

We don’t generally stay on resort property, but this condo is a perfect exception. We love the location. Close to north beaches and Waimea. Even though it is in the Waikoloa resort it is set aside in its own gated community. The condo itself is very comfortable and has everything you will need. The breeze at night is heavenly.

Very Nice Location! The Online Pics Don’t Fully do it Justice

We enjoyed our 5-day stay at this comfortable, very spacious and well-cleaned unit. As a corner unit on the 3rd floor, it has a secure feel and provides breathtaking mountain views from its large wrap-around lanai. The kitchen, linen closets and pantry were notably well-stocked with utensils, useful provisions and beach equipment. A few aspects of the unit, such as a couple of the appliances were somewhat dated, but functional and thus did not pose a problem. The community grounds are very attractive and well-taken care of with access to well-maintained and updated amenities like the pool, hot-tub and gym. The Shores’ location within the Waikoloa Beach Resort area, with easy access to a large array of shops, restaurants, scenic walking trails and the beach, was very much a positive aspect of our experience as a whole. The management company’s responsiveness and positive communication was also very helpful. This unit was a great value for the rate and we would recommend this property to vacationers looking to stay in the Waikoloa area.

We would stay here again. The condo is located in a beautiful quiet gated community. It had everything my family needed for our stay. Comfortable and clean. The living room was very spacious for three of us. The view from lanai was spectacular. The property manager was prompt and accommodating when we inquired about late checkout.

One bedroom at the shores

Great location. Easy walk to the A-bay beach. 3rd floor condo was very quiet. Excellent wrap around porch with great Mountain View’s. King bed was comfortable. All appliances worked well. Our stay was 2 weeks and we would definitely return for the same or longer stay.

Kona - this is the place!!

Wonderful location, so peaceful! The birds in the morning and night are just amazing. Like a natural orchestra. The pool and jacuzzi just perfect. Saw the Marriot and Hilton properties - would rather stay at this location. Walking distance to market. Will definitely come back HERE and enjoy the pace.

The condo was perfect, thank you! We visited the Big Island with another family (they stayed nearby) - and this condo fit me and my 2 kids perfectly. It was near everything (a short drive and there was an assigned parking spot on site) and was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend! Everything was very easy. Mahalo!
