Post and Beam Carriage House in the heart of Mad River Valley

  • Charming post and beam with vaulted ceilings, one bedroom with loft, large common space and covered parking. It is located up on a hill in Fayston just 5 minutes from Waitsfield center and Mt. Ellen. The secluded property has a stream and beautiful views of Lincoln Peak, Mt. Ellen and Mad River Glen. The living space includes a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table, a TV/sitting area and a pool table. Bedroom has king size bed and a loft with 3 single beds. There is a large bathroom with a shower and plenty of storage. This apartment has all major appliances including a dishwasher and a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.

    If you plan to bring a pet, please disclose in the VRBO system BEFORE booking so it accounts for the nightly rate of $30.

This is a perfect place if you love the quiet and peace of nature. We made a few meals in the kitchen which is well equipped with anything you might need. The bed was extremely comfortable. There are plenty of board games and the pool table and ping pong table were a hit. Beautiful place and hope to return some day.

1 to all of the positive reviews on the VRBO site. The barn has an authentic Vermont feel and the surrounding neighborhood is nice and quiet (even on July 4th weekend.) The MRV has so much to offer throughout the year and this property allows easy access to all of it. Would definitely return for another relaxing vacation. Thank you!

Beautiful house with everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of towels. Very clean. Note the stairs up to the lift are very steep so not the best if you have really little kids but worked for our tweens and teen.

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed. There were three of us and we couldn't believe how much space we had. The stairs to the loft were very steep so my 70 year old mom wasn't able to safely go up there but we knew that going into the reservation and gave her the master bedroom (just something to keep in mind if traveling with kiddos or seniors). Waitsfield is the cutest town and I would love to return again. This was also the perfect place to stay for the Mad Marathon. Wonderful location.

Excellent place

The Mad River Valley is one of the nicest places to be in the whole country, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place to stay in Waitsfield than right here. It's exactly as the listing says, and our stay couldn't have been any easier or more convenient. 10/10 would stay again.

Perfect mountain escape!

Loved staying at the carriage house and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay while hiking in VT. The pool table was a big hit and the kitchen was well stocked and very clean.

The best Waitsfield has to offer!!

This property was amazing! My fiancé and I had the best time staying here before our wedding, and the communication was flawless, as was the experience. Seriously, stay here - you won’t regret it.

Fabulous place to stay in Mad River Valley

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this fabulous carriage house in Mad River Valley. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything needed to make our stay perfect. I would highly recommend this charming place to anyone staying in the Mad River Valley area.

Amazing place!

The space was perfect for a weekend getaway and so much fun. There’s plenty of activities to do in the house; the pool table and table tennis were especially fun. The surrounding environment is really picturesque and relaxing.
