I wanted to love this place.
I wanted to love this place but the standards for the money was subpar…. Getting towels cleaned and delivered daily with the cleaning service was an issue the restaurant service was horrible as of there was no management at all…. Slow service not attentive at all … waited 22 minutes for a cappuccino at breakfast… then when the food finally came it’s was cold and not cooked to the temp I asked it for. Wouldn’t stay again…. Not for what they are asking to stay here.

Schitterend hotel!
Zeer leuke plaats met prachtig zicht over de oceaan.De zeer grote kamers zijn prachtig.Het interieur een parel.De ontvangst aan het onthaal was heel hartelijk.De bar is een cozy place..zeer mooi ingericht.Ook het welness center even vermelden.De beste massage ooit en een goede gezichtsverzorging.Het avondeten en ontbijt is zeer lekker en verzorgd,echter hier kan1dame vriendelijker zijn.Spijtig van het zwembad is iets te klein.Toch was het een plaats om zeker terug te keren.

Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung
Als ich das Bay View Hotel im Internet gesehen haben, wusste ich sofort, da moechte ich hin und meine Erwartungen wurden sogar noch übertroffen. Das Zimmer war wunderschön (wir hatten ein deluxe Zimmer mit Couch und kuechenzeile gebucht) , modern eingerichtet und vor allem sehr sauber! Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt. Vom Balkon aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen im Restaurant ist top, auch das Fruechstueck lässt keine Wünsche offen (guter Kaffee :-)! Wichtig vielleicht zu wissen ist, dass das Hotel in einer relativ neuen Gegend ist, das heisst es ist noch viel im Aufbau dort. Zusammenfassend: Empfehlung :-)

Hotels.com worst site to book accommodation
I booked via Hotels. Com and when I arrived at the hotel they did not have a family room or interleading room. I contacted hotels.com and chatted to an agent by the name Alvin. The booking was cancelled with hotels. com and the agent confirmed the cancellation and full refund. The hotel receptionist contacted the manager of the hotel and a full refund was confirmed. Two days later I contacted hotels.com only to realize the accommodation was not cancelled. They were only able to refund the two days an not the first day. I will never use hotels.com again.

Lovely stay
Lovely hotel and views. Love the layout of the rooms. Clean rooms. Love the additional amenities in the room e.g. microwave, refrigerator, plates and cutlery in case you need to use them. Great location - situated midway between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, beach is a few meters away, pool playground and braai facilities close by. Friendly and helpful staff. Receptionist arranged our local tour activities which was appreciated. Lovely restaurant which surpasses local restuarants by far. Breakfast was average. Negative: No shower caps provided although rooms only have showers. Room service trays and food covers are a necessity - it is not ok for plates for room service orders to be carried by hand and further not be covered.

+ An incredible cost/quality ratio. Unbeatable. + Nice room with a very nice view on the ocean. + Good restaurant right in the hotel. - You NEED a car. The place is midway between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, without a car, you are totally lost.

Design hotel with great restaurant and views!
Very nice hotel, rooms are all well designed suites, spacious and great view of the ocean. The Salt restaurant is wonderful! The staff is very helpful. Good location for visiting Walvisbay and Swartkopmund. Pool is small.

Sehr schönes, modernes und neues Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Ort ist etwas abgelegen. Das Essen im dazugehörigen Restaurant ist super und dort, sowie im Restaurant stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Modern premises and excellent food!
The Hotel is very modern and has spacious rooms with great facilities. The restaurant on the premises is extremely convenient and they have excellent food!

Very enjoyable place
We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Bay View - could have stayed there a lot longer !! The staff was very friendly The location right on the beach is amazing - rooms are very nice and spacious Breakfast also very nice Pool is small but nice and clean - ( perfect would be if they made a pool on the beach side of the building)

Fabulous hotel. Rooms are spacious, great beds, great sea views. Staff were great and food was excellent. Only issue is it's out of town and taxis are expensive

Très belle vue malgré le brouillard matinal. La baie vitrée de la chambre est vraiment très agréable. Le petit déjeuner et le diner au restaurant de l’hôtel sont très corrects, seul point négatif est qu'il fallait sortir de l’hôtel pour rejoindre la partie restaurant ou est servi le petit déjeuner lorsqu'il fait très froid et venteux le matin ! Personnel sympathique et serviable

un seul mot : "magnifique" - seul bémol sortie obligatoire à l'extérieur pour rejoindre le restaurant pour petit déjeuner et repas du soir. hotel moderne ouvert depuis novembre 2017 avec prix super attractif (75 € pour 45 m2) - superbe vue sur la mer (idéal pour coucher de soleil). un peu à l'écart de Walvis Bay nécessitant voiture ou taxi pour s'y rendre, mais tranquillité garantie.

Great hotel!
We had a lovely time and the view of the Bay was very good. It is very well situated between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund and we enjoyed our visits there. There is direct access onto the beach which would be a huge plus if you are visiting in the summer (it was very windy and chilly during our visit!). Every member of staff was extremely polite and friendly and we appreciated the complimentary drink on arrival. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant had a good location for dinner although we didn’t partake ourselves. We did visit the Sky Bar to watch the sunset which was gorgeous. The room was large and very comfortable with a balcony looking over the sea and the WiFi was excellent (unusual for Namibia). It’s worth noting that they are developing Dolphin Bay a lot at the time of writing this review but the building work didn’t spoil our stay in the slightest. We’d definitely recommend Bay View if you’re visiting the area.

The Sea view and sunset was amazing. Great location between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund! I would go back there anytime.

We were received at the reception by a very nice welcome by a very friendly young lady. She gave s glasses of juice and made s feel like home right away. Our checkin went very smoothly. She had everything ready. We had two rooms, 45 and 46. Both rooms wowed us with spectacular decor, coziness, cleanliness, the view on the balcony and the ambiance . Staff came immediately when we asked for space heaters, Extra coffee , etc. Food at the restaurant was spectacular. The service was exceptional. We plan on visiting again.

Splendide!
Nous avons passé 2 nuits très agréables à Bay View. La chambre était vraiment spacieuse, moderne et avait la vue sur la mer. Elle disposait d un coin salon ainsi qu une cuisine avec assiettes, couverts et différents verres. Le wifi fonctionnait bien. Le personnel, tant au restaurant dans lequel nous prenions notre petit déjeuner, qu à la réception était souriant et aux petits soins avec nous. Un grand merci pour leur accueil chaleureux. Nous avons réservé par l hôtel une balade en mer inoubliable durant laquelle nous avons pu observer des baleines, des dauphins, des phoques et pélicans. A ne pas manquer!
