A. A very old hotel pub. Welcoming staff. Double bedroom spacious and comfortable. Only problem for two of was garlic in most foods. We are both allergic to garlic.

Ideal position for Corfe Castle visit and Kimmeridge fossil centre and Jurassic coast. Friendly and helpful staff and management. Food excellent.

Bankes Arms is a great Inn/Hotel. Clean, neat rustic rooms and excellent services and staff. And- a short walk to Corfe castle and the very cool steam train service.

Staff generay polite, service extremely slow. Facilities relating to room often didnt work or were missing completely. Coffee machine didnt work so when we went for dinner we spoke to a member of staff who said they would attend to it but didnt and we gad to ask another member of staff for a kettle in the end. Sink plug jammed do couldnt empty. Internet didnt work unless loaded in the bar. Shortly after returning to room connection was lost. We ordered our meal which took over an hour to appear. Similar situation with breakfast. Booked as requested, for 8.30am. Member of staff didnt appear until 9.00am and we waited in excess of 25 minutes for our pre ordered meal to appear.

The hotel was fine. The service was poor, room was not at all clean and milk and kettle were missing( cups and tea were there!).

The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the food was well cooked and presented. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The easy parking is a bonus in a very congested area of the village. The main door is on to an extremely busy road so pedestrians need to take care. Some of the decor looks a little tired. We failed to get a signal for the WiFi and the drinks machine defeated us. Altogether very good value.

Fantastic location, friendly staff.
Staff very fiendly and helpful. Room nice, although a little noisy with traffic. Evening meal which was a Sunday Lunch was excellent. Breakfast not so good, basic and left under a hot plate, a little dry.

Liked location, only 12 channels on tv. Complicated coffee maker with no instructions, ended up buying own kettle to make tea! Really difficult to find any hotel staff around.

Wonderful Place and Service to Match
I have stayed at the Bankes Arms in Corfe several times over the years and each time the service is friendly and impeccable. I always feel like I am treated as a valued guest. Great food in their restaurant and nothing but praise for everyone at the Bankes Arms. Will continue to go there each time I visit the area.

Banks arms hotel was disappointing
It was ok but the room faced the busy road noise was not good and shower room condition poor also 2nd day got seated in a cramped corner for breakfast next too noises from people previous evening waited an hour for evening meal

A most enjoyable two night stay
Fabulous views of the Castle and the Steam Railway. Staff very friendly. Great breakfasts. We ate twice at the Hotel and the food was very good. Lovely village and easy for visiting Swanage and surrounding area.

It was within very easy reach of Corfe Castle and the station for the Swanage railway. The car park itself was packed when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, though there was a group on and, in all fairness, the manager offered to move his car for us to avoid us getting a ticket. The room was ok although the coffee machine was not clean and a kettle would have been a far better option. There could also have done with being more storage in the bathroom. We had a problem with our toilet which was really slow filling and when reported we were told this had been like this for a while, and we were given a key to use one of the other rooms facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady at breakfast in the morning, the food was decent enough. Overall it was reasonable but probably overpriced.

Lovely place to stay, great choice for breakfast, good evening menu and great location for three other pubs in the village. Also two minute walk to Corfe Castle railway station which takes you into Swanage. Well done all the staff for making our stay so welcoming 👏👏👍
