great location and amenities!

Absolute great location and setup at this property! A few items could be updated though such as the bedroom sheets and the frying pan (needed a ton of cooking spray to make it non-sticking). Great communication from the owner while I had issues using the VRBO app from The beginning.

an incredible week

We stayed for a week, and it was a perfect spot for us. We had to reschedule before we could visit, and the owner was wonderfully accommodating. He replied to questions quickly and with great courtesy. We were so pleased with our experience! Thank you!

Close to the action on Capitol Hill!

Very close to the Capitol, a nice walk to eateries and/ or groceries. Nicely stocked kitchen but tight on room for more than 4. Our teenage grandchildren did fine in the living area. A bonus was being near enough to the Supreme Court building when our new justice was being sworn in…and watching the demonstration outside.

Great getaway in Washington DC

This was a great property for our family of four! It was walking distance to the National Mall as well as several meal options including two grocery stores. Everything was clean and the host, Eric, was quick to respond to any question we had. The bathroom is small but easily met our needs. This location is in a quiet section of Capitol Hill and was a great jumping off point for adventures around the city. We would definitely stay there again!

Great location

Excellent communication with Eric and helpful hints for the area. The location was great, walking distance to capitol and only mile to Smithsonian, but if this was too far, buses readily available. Train stations close by, about a 15 minute walk. Didn't use lyft but saw alot of people doing this. Apartment was great. We slept in bedroom, very comfortable. Kids and sister in law slept in living room. Futon and a futon like couch not especially comfortable but worked fine for them.

Perfect Location!

We loved staying here. It was a 15 minute walk to Capital Hill and the Mall. Easy street parking. 10-15 walk to restaurants. The unit was exactly as advertised and was very safe and clean. There were some lovely touches to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Sweet apartment

Beautiful little historic apartment in the perfect area. We really enjoyed our stay. Close to Stanton Park and the National mall.

Charming Apartment

Our family loved our stay in this rowhouse basement apartment. The neighborhood is safe, clean, quiet and just a few blocks to the Capital. Also within walking distance are two metro train stations. (about a 10 minute walk) Eric was quick to respond and did a great job answering any questions we had. He even gave suggestions for restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Just right

The place was as described in a very good way. Two adults and three teenagers worked very well. Proximity to the Capitol and mall were great. Very walkable, safe neighborhood in every direction. Easy access in and out of apartment. Nice small park down the street. Eastern Market was a pleasant walk away. We appreciate the quality of space we used and couldn't have expected more from it.

Great time in Capitol Hill

This unit is spotless, located in Capitol Hill. Great location and easy walk to nearby restaurants and stores. Owner is very responsive. The listing is accurate. We will definitely stay at this unit again.

Weekend in DC

A perfect spot for our short stay in DC. Great communication with the unit owner, including restaurant recommendations and important parking info. Well appointed apartment and very comfortable for our family of three.

Perfect for a quick visit!

I knew we would have a great stay when we pulled up and found a parking spot in front of this Vrbo. Apartment was clean, had everything we needed supplied. The bed was super comfortable. Perfectly walkable distance to our planned destination and metro. A+!!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Eric was quick to reply to all my emails. The apartment is in a fantastic location -walking distance to sites and in a lovely neighborhood.

We enjoyed our rental here, with great metro and bus connections. Loved the neighborhood feel of the brownstone apartment. Eric is a great host!

Wonderful Property and Location

My husband, 96-year-old mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. The neighborhood is lovely: safe, surprisingly quiet, and within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and public transit. We used a wheelchair to walk Mom to the museums at the National Mall each day, and that worked well for us. We like to stay in apartments when we travel in order to cook. Dishes were plentiful, and there was sufficient cookware to prepare our meals. As shown in the photos, the apartment was charming. For parties greater than two, we recommend you check with the owners about sleeping accommodations in the main room to be sure your needs are met. It worked well for us. We were on the road several days before our arrival at the apartment, and had a communications glitch because of that. However, Eric responded quickly and clearly overall. And while we didn't have questions once we'd checked in, we felt welcome to contact the owners. The lock box on the door was extremely simple to use -- much more convenient than keys. We'd certainly recommend this property and these owners to anyone vacationing in the DC area.

Amazing Experience in DC

Eric - We can't thank you enough for sharing your home with our family while visiting Washington, DC. The ability for our family to have a place to rest in the evenings after all the daily activities can't be appreciated enough. We have stayed in a number of VRBO rentals and some of the little details you help to take care of makes such a huge difference. You were so helpful with suggestions as well as helping with some last minute times in need, showed you cared to make our visit successful, and stress free. We appreciate so much, that our children got the feel of living in a neighborhood in a big city. Be proud of your home and we are jealous you get to stay and we had to leave. I couldn't recommend a place more for those looking to immerse themselves in our nation's capital. Thanks again, Justin
