My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Forest Gardens Getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are fabulous people who go over and above to help with anything you may need. And Deb’s breakfast are out of this world!

Serene, secluded lakeside retreat

Wonderful breakfast! Screened gazebo was magical, hosts friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home. Property is simply gorgeous with a lake and amazing flower gardens.

Perfect in every way

What a wonderful, magical experience! Deb and Alan are so kind and welcoming, and that they share their hospitality and beautiful home is such a treat for folks fortunate enough to stay with them. Everything was peaceful and serene, and every comfort that you might imagine wishing for they've already provided (the Kerurig stocked with pumpkin spice pods was a special delight!). Bring your appetite--Deb prepares the most delicious breakfasts; all day fuel for hiking, exploring, you name it. It was wonderful to visit over coffee and to take in the breathtaking beauty of the gardens and lake. Thank you both for making my stay so special and memorable!

Paradise in the Northwoods

We had a wonderful stay at Forest Gardens Getaway on Twist Lake. Very peaceful and serene setting. The hosts are very kind and accommodating. We stayed in their lower level. Very private. Many amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Girls getaway for mom and daughters

The experience was beyond words! Debbie and Alan have crew a wonderful place to rest, relax, recharge, and reflect. We spent four nights and wouldn’t change a thing. Nature abounds here and even the rainy weather provided what we needed: our own private contemplation station in the Northwoods! The breakfasts and table settings were something we looked forward to every morning. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity. We highly recommend multi-night stay at Forest Gardens Getaway.

Amazing

If you are looking for a welcoming, clean, quiet, and comfortable place to stay, look no further! My sister and I had to go to the U.P. and just needed a place to rest for the night before heading back down south. We really hit the jackpot with Forest Gardens! Debbie and Alan are the sweetest people ever. Their home is so beautiful and we enjoyed our time there very much. Breakfast was so delicious and their hospitality was next level. They made a fire for us, had relaxing music playing, lots of comfy blankets to use. We also enjoyed watching all of the birds while eating our breakfast. If I go back up to the area. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Five stars- highly recommend!

Debbie and Alan are incredible hosts- one of the best vrbo properties and experiences we’ve ever had! Their home is exquisite - relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable. Their property and gardens are breathtaking- we really enjoyed relaxing on the deck after dropping off our child at college. Debbie’s breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip- so delicious! Book with confidence- highly recommend!

The hosts Debbie and Alan were outstanding, warm, friendly, helpful and hospitable. The breakfasts were delicious and made according to our dietary preferences. The location and exterior garden and woods were beautiful. I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Beautiful home and setting

The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Their home is just beautiful. The scenery is so serene and pretty. While eating a scrumptious breakfast we looked out over the lovely lake and watched ducks and herons in the water, saw a hummingbird on the feeder, as well as squirrels playing. Early morning coffee out in the screened in gazebo, we heard loons! We stayed in the lower level where we played pool and enjoyed the quiet in the evening! Very peaceful place and we really loved chatting with our hosts. Deb makes the best chocolate chip cookies!

A must go for those looking for a relaxing safe haven. Debbie and Alan are wonderful and welcoming hosts, and Debbie’s breakfasts will leave you speechless. The property is beautiful. Me and my girlfriend loved every second being there. The only negative was leaving, 10/10 relaxation retreat.
