5 night stay

Our 4th stay at this location says it all! Even though it’s not on the beach , it’s a great place to have a big family/friend gathering. A short drive to the beach.

This property has a nice restaurant right at the end of driveway that has some of the best steaks.

The house and the trip was excellent. The bathtubs in the house were the best. The house location was very close to the beach and central to other locations.

Christmas family get away! Great space. Convenient to beach, stores, dining, and church! Fully equipped. Host was very gracious and timely.

Love the bathrooms in each room. Lots of room in the kitchen. Great space in living area!

A hidden Gem

Waveland was absolutely beautiful. We had such a great time learning about the history of the town while also going to the beach (of course). Hardly an hour from NO made it an awesome spot. The town was quite tranquil and very relaxing full of great people. The place we stayed was wonderful. Martin was incredibly kind and helpful and provided more than advertised would definitely come back.

Best little beach house!

We had a family of 7-my husband and I and our 5 children (ages 13, 10, 9, 7, & 5!) they each had their own beds, our oldest had her own room and bathroom, the others had their own bathroom & we had our own bathroom. SO MUCH SPACE!!! There was no fighting/bickering & the house was well supplied & the owner was fantastic to when with!!! 10/10 recommend!!!

Comfortable Place to Stay in Waveland

This is a nice place to stay with 3 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms and is great for a larger family visit-we'd stay here again next time we visit. Chirping smoke alarms were a minor problem throughout out visit, including one in locked room that we could not get to in order to replace the battery. Martin offered to come over to fix things which was nice.

Great Vacation Home

This house is much bigger than the pictures even show. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and had more than enough room for everyone. It was great having a bathroom for each bedroom. The house was clean and Martin was a wonderful host. This is also a really great beach for kids. It wasn't a problem having to drive to the beach because there was no way we could walk anyway with all of our beach stuff. The beach at Waveland is the perfect beach for kids since you can walk out forever and it stays shallow. We also went to the Hurricane Katrina museum in town which is worth going to. Anyway, Martin's house, communication, everything was wonderful. Do not hesitate to stay there. Thank you Martin!

Something like this:We just returned for our 5th consecutive year and had a great time. The house was clean, as always. Bed linens washed and clean. Everything in great shape. Before we came, I happened to read the review from Valerie, the previous guest. I wondered if she was reviewing the same property ? Nothing in her review reflects our experiences. Clean house, clean bedding, no unusual odors. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils. Martin had purchased another set of pots and pans, even though what was there already was fine. The large fridge/ freezer is , in no way, falling apart. We appreciated the bag of ice in the freezer for us and the frozen popsicles. Since the icemaker in the freezer has never been plumbed in ( flood hazard) Martin has also added an electric ice maker on the counter. Plenty of cleaning supplies under the sink and in the utility room. The deck was in good repair, several new boards as usual with this climate. 5 star review as always Martin, thanks for being quickly responsive to any questions. See you next year.

Keep looking

Let me start by saying that the condition of the house and property did not deter us from a great time. Check in was flawless location was quiet. With that said. The house what some what dirty. The kitchen window hasn't been cleaned in years. Im talking about the inside. The fridge was falling apart, the icemaker does not work. There was so much food already int he freezer that there was not much room for our food and ice so many trips to the Walmart were in order. I pulled out a kitchen drawer and the front came off in my hand. The pots and pans and cooking implements are a joke. Lots of dishes though. The house discription stated there are bikes for guests to use. Beware, they are on a creepy shed and the bikes are rusted and buried under other things or the tires are flat. The sheets smelled as if the had not been changed. Not musty and dusty smell from no use, but BO smell. The 1st master bath has a feces smell. There was not much to clean with. The deck has several nails sticking up and I stepped on a knothole and it pretty much went through. The tarro/ elephant ears are over grown and on the steps. With a little bit of maintenance and better cleaning this place would be just like the pictures.

House is perfect for 3 couples!

This was our second time to stay @ this property. We enjoy the fact that the house is large enough for 3 couples to each have their own bedroom & bath. We enjoyed visiting the local attractions such as the hurricane Katrina museum & the Mardi Gras museum. Everyone was very friendly. Mr Docherty was readily available to answer any concerns we had. We hope to make a return visit! .

Best wedding weekend ever!

We got married on the beach over the weekend and with 3 daughters we needed all of the bathroom space! The house was amazing! Super nice host! Can't wait to stay here again!

Huge & great house!

This house was *much* bigger than we needed for 4 people. But it was really nice. There was a porch, grill, under-house porch swing. S&B is the restaurant across the street, friendly people, great food! The beach was so quiet! I couldn't get the jet tub tub drain to seal, but the owner was responsive. :)

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. About one hour from the French Quarter in New Orleans, also easy driving distance to Biloxi, Gulfport and any number of really nice places to eat in the local area. Nice beach, friendly people, we had a really nice week. Don’t forget to visit the space museum you while you are there near Stennis space center. Martin was a great host and we would stay again at this location.

Great vacation house!

The house was just wonderful! So much room. All the bedrooms were huge. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean and welcoming. Martin checked in with us a couple of times because bad weather was expecting to hit the area. Luckily it moved north and we Did not have anything but a little rain. The area of Waveland and Bay St. Louis are just wonderful, full of lots of cute shops and restaurants. I could not believe how friendly everyone was. We will definitely make this trip again and if the clover cottage is available we would very much left to stay there another time.

Great place, Enjoyed the area.

We really enjoyed our time together here. House was just as described, even better actually as kitchen had just been updated with granite counter tops & the deck with cable railings. Looked great & very comfortable.
