Okay stay.

The tiny home itself is very tiny but it was very clean. Needs a little dusting and plastic shower liner should be changed with every guest. Really wish the ac was turned on when we first arrived but it was not. Also could use a bug zapper at the front door bc everytime the door opened a bunch of bugs made their way in. Wish the fire pit was at the actual home. This was an ok stay. The view was nice along with the state park and the host is very friendly.

The Nest Tiny Home

My wife, Pauline, and I are 73. When we made this reservation, I advised that Pauline uses a cane and whether this would be problem. I received no response that I'm aware of. When we arrived at the Nest in the late afternoon, there was no one there to meet us, and I had to call Sherry to get the access code to the door. There are three steps up to the porch with a wooden handrail. The bottom stanchion was broken off and laying on the ground, causing the handrail to wobble and provide poor support for Pauline in climbing the steps. I texted Sherry immediately about this and she advised me that she would try to get someone out the next day to fix the handrail, cut couldn't guarantee that it would get done. Sherry asked if we wanted to cancel, and we almost did. Once inside the Nest House, we had not anticipated the narrow ladder and difficulty in climbing up into the loft where the bed is. The Nest should be marketed to the younger generation who is healthier and more agile. In addition, the room was very cold. The A/C was running but could find no way to turn it up or off without unplugging it. Pauline ended up sleeping on the couch downstairs while I managed to struggle up into the loft. Early the next morning we found the A/C remote not where it was supposed to be. The in-room instructions stated that we would find the A/C remote in a bracket on the wall next to the door. It wasn't and it was set to 16 degrees C, which is 60.8 degrees F. We left.

Small but very comfy

This is a converted shed, so it is very small. That being said, it was comfortable and easy to manuver around in. The floor plan works and I was very impressed by that. Perfect for one or two adults. The loft bed was comfortable but you cannot sit up so be aware of that. I came in on a day where the weather dropped from 70's to 30's and woke up freezing. The fire place did not work, nor did the heater. However, the property manager was always quick to respond and did bring us a space heater. I was able to cook dinner, relax and even played a board game that was provied, with my daughter. Over all it was a good experience.

Nice place for a short getaway

We spent a quick weekend retreat here. It was very quiet and perfect for a reset trip. There were issues with our booking but the property manager was able to still accommodate us and our stay.

Tiny, yet comfortable

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks, while we were in Texas for his job. We enjoyed our stay and the fabulous sunrises and sunsets from the front deck of the tiny house. It was quite comfortable for the two of us during our stay.

Tin roof on a rainy night ❤️ 💤

Not going to lie, at first that tin roof made this place a tiny oven, it was unbearable! But Sherry was quick to respond and remedy the situation. Once we figured out how to use the AC unit it was a tiny fridge that made for an excellent night's sleep with the raindrops falling on the hot tin roof.

Lovely, creative Tiny house

Awesome tiny house. Love the bath shower and sink creativity! The only thing I didn't think about is my age and any disabilities climbing. Sunsets are awesome, got some award winning photos that I will be sending to hopefully be placed on a shelf in the tiny house. I made sure the coffee grinds were empty and the maker was clean as I did have to clean moldy grinds out b4 using first thing in the morning. It's an easy thing to miss when cleaning but felt it's worth mentioning. Very cute little tiny house and would recommend.

Wonderful tiny tiny house

I wanted to experience a tiny house and this was definitely tiny. The location on the top of the hill is excellent and even though in an RV park, didn't feel too close to the neighbors. Super close to the state park which was really nice. The house was very clean and comfortable, although some of the wine glasses had a thick coating of dust. Just took off one star bc there was no dish soap, body soap, shampoo, conditioner which I felt was pretty basic. The only other thing that bothered me was that there wasn't an electric outlet anywhere close to the toaster oven. These were all minor things and overall I had a wonderful stay.

Looks just like the pictures and super location!

This is the cutest little house I've seen. It looked exactly like the pictures in the listing. Check-in was super easy. Loved the location. My purpose was to go to Mineral Wells State Park and to go the Fossil Park. There are a ton of 'mom and pop' diners to eat at in town. The Vietnam War Memorial was a bonus.
