“Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village.”

“For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location.”

“On the plus side I thought the staff were very helpful. Our evening meal was acceptable, typical 'pub grub' if I can call it that. However our room was totally unacceptable, small, dishevelled and grubby. The carpet was very worn, a crack in the wash basin, a window which could not be opened and a mattress which emphasised the springs above comfort. Perhaps it was my fault when booking but I thought the room was en suite but access to bathroom was outside our room. This room certainly needs...

“The cottage was adorable, well equipped and in a beautiful rural setting. The host was wonderfully helpful and friendly.”

“Lovely place to stay with kids and dog. Beautiful view from the front door and a dog walking/kids play area right opposite which was very handy. Loads to do in the local area especially if you like walking and nature. Perfect to come back to the hot tub after a long walk! The Stables had everything we needed - all kitchen equipment, dishwasher, washing machine, cleaning products, tv in each room, towels, dressing gowns and slippers for the hot tub. Everything was clean and comfortable. We...

“resurface the access road up to edderton hall and bungalow with gravel which is not as expensive as tarmac, existing surface very rutted this is why I gave only 4 stars out of 5 which is a shame as every thing else was worth 5star rating.”

“Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit.”

“Absolutely horrible !!! Staff were horrible and the owner was cursing at me and never got the keys to my cabin even after it being paid and money taken out my account !! Waited for 5 hours just to be told “there has been a double booking” and not even getting a refund or any other cabin !!!! Unprofessional service and behaviour from the owner and the staff ! So disappointed with this company!!!”

“I liked this glamping POD, it was cosy with a working toilet and shower. The hot tub was excellent, we spent a lot of time in it. It was not inflatable but a real one that could hold 4-6 people. It was self check in so there was no issues getting in, when we arrived around 8.30pm. This is glamping so bring: Washing detergent Cleaning sponges and clothes Your own towels and robes Toilet roll Good knifes for cutting Any other non saucepan related items Knives and forks Call me crazy, but when i...

“Not what was advertised and completely dirty. Shower leaked through wall. We left after first night. Neither Vrbo nor the owner seemed to care. Read all reviews online about this place and don’t make the mistake we did”

“Lovely place, could be abit cleaner inside and in the bottom”
