We stayed at the wrens nest at madog wells holiday cottages, 30/12/24-3/1/25. The cottages our located in an ideal quiet rural location not far from welshpool, away from the noise and town/city life. Which is exactly what we wanted the cottages have their own fields/woods which was ideal for us as we brought our dogs, so they were able to have off lead runs/exercise without the worry of bumping into other dogs/people. The cottage was basic but cosy, with everything you needed for the stay and the hosts Ann and Michael were lovely people who were on hand to help out if needed and passed on their knowledge on the area and places to go and things to do making the stay even better. Will definitely look at booking again maybe one of the bigger cottages out the 3. Would recommend for either families or people looking for a quiet break but still be able to go out and explore the picturesque scenery.
