  • Chalet "Arche", 2 storeys, built in 1976. 1 km from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Stepped path (60 steps) to the house. Shop 1 km, supermarket 1 km, restaurant 1 km, bar 1 km, bakery 1 km, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 4 km, railway station "Wengen" 1 km. Cable car 1 km, skisport facilities 1 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.
    "Arche", 6-room chalet 246 m2 on 3 levels. Spacious, partly with sloping ceilings, rustic and cosy furnishings: 1 room with 1 double bed (1 x 160 cm, length 200 cm), bath/shower/WC. Kitchen-/living room (4 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, fondue Set (cheese)). Upper floor: large dining room with cable TV, radio, CD-player and DVD. 1 room with 1 double bed (180 cm, length 200 cm). 1 room with 4 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). 2 Baths/showers/WC. Top floor: 1 room with sloping ceilings with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Balcony, terrace. Terrace furniture. Marvellous panoramic view of the mountains. Facilities: washing machine, iron, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Perfect Spot for a Family

Check in was easy, they worked with us on our late arrival. There are plenty of beds and showers, enough kitchen equipment to make meals. Picturesque setting, beautiful scenery. It was one of our favorite places! There are a few steps to get to and from location, so be mindful if walking is difficult for you. But it was an ideal spot for our big family.

Great time in Wengen

We had a great time in Wengen and at this lovely home. The views and home layout were wonderful. Our extended family of 7 would likely come again - only issues were distance to town including a lot of stairs down from the road to the home (also very difficult even with directions to find) and issues with the toilets (Inter Home was quick to have a handy man come out twice to work on it), but in our opinion for the price point the owner should replace the toilets and upgrade the kitchen.

Just a short walk from the centre of town in a lovely quiet spot looking across to lauterbrunnen valley. The chalet is a little dated, the kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, the only thing i would say is the kitchen could do with a few decent knives for food prep. The description for the chalet says 3 bathrooms with no mention on layout, 2 are actually en suite to the two bedrooms on the middle floor, the other on the ground floor next to the downstairs bedroom. Great stay

Great house, poor company

House itself is super charming and cozy, wonderful place to stay for a relaxing Wengen family trip. Interhome as a company was awful to deal with. They assured me we could get a taxi upon arrival, and then made us wait 2 HOurS with two small children and all our bags. No amenities like shampoo or detergent in the home and very few towels. They also charged a random 200 euro charge upon arrival.

Apartament jest z lat siedemdziesiątych i taki też ma klimat mimo nowych kanap z IKEI. Może łazienki wymagałyby odświeżenia armatury, ale kafle są genialne. Apartament to samodzielny dom z fajnymi sypialniami, a to co bardzo miłe, jest w nim dużo szaf, że nie trzeba się gnieździć w bagażach. Salon jest wielki i urządziliśmy tam urodziny naszej dziesięcioletniej córki. Dzieci miały gdzie tańczyć. Bardzo miły ogród z tarasem. Atut: pralka i pełno naczyń i sztućców. W kuchni za ciemne oświetlenie.

Das Chalet ist sauber und man fühlt sich trotz den vielen älteren Textilien wohl. Bei den Bädern und Matratzen besteht Investitionsbedarf. Auch die Belichtung ist überholungsbedürftig. Dennoch ein ideales Chalet für mehrere Personen / Familien auch mit Kindern.

Comfortable home for family travel

We were a group of 9- multi- generational with ages 8 to 70. This home was very family- friendly with lots of spaces to spread out, and a large dining table for gathering for meals. It is a bit of a hike to get there, including 60 steps, but quiet and in a lovely setting with a great view of the Jungfrau from the balcony and back terrace. The kitchen is on the lower level and the large dining table one floor up, so we were up and down multiple times per day preparing for meals. The bedrooms were nicely spread out for our group- older boys in a loft, younger girls in a triple with own bathroom and one set of grandparents nearby, and one set of grandparents in the lower level. It all worked well for us. Kitchen well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed having a small yard and outdoor table.

Grosszügiges Chalet mit schöner Aussicht

Das Chalet Arche ist sehr geräumig und bot genug Platz für unsere 10er-Gruppe. Dank dem Neuschnee konnten wir mit den Ski direkt in den Garten fahren. Praktisch war auch der zweite Kühlschrank fürs Bier:-) Die Küche ist leider nicht mehr Zeitgemäss. Einen grossen Topf Spaghetti oder Fondue in zwei Caquelons gleichzeitig kochen ist eine wahre Geduldsprobe. Ebenfalls ist es im ganzen Haus recht düster. Hier müssen die Eigentümer dringend investieren, sonst ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt.

Ein grosses Chalet, in welchem es sich gemütlich Leben lässt. Leider besitzt die Küche keinen Dampfabzug. Leider ist es im Haus relativ dunkel, trotzt brennendem Lichtes. Optimale Lage um im Winter Ski zu fahren.

Beautiful chalet in a lovely location

Chalet Arche was perfect for our stay in Wengen, well situated, with amazing views and within easy reach of public transport. It's cosy, specious and very well equipped, well set up for little children. Highly recommended!

schöne Ferienchalet

Wir haben eine ruhige Woche in diesem wunderbaren Chalet genossen. Es ist perfekt gelegen am Rande des Dorfes und direkt an der Skipiste mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Rehe und Dachse wurden fast jeden Abend vom Balkon aus im Garten und auf dem benachbarten Feld gesichtet. Das Haus ist geräumig, sauber und komfortabel. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass man nach einem langen Tag auf der Piste nicht in der Lage war, ein heißes Bad zu nehmen. Das Leitungswasser ist zu langsam und macht es unmöglich.

Chalet spacieux et bien situé

Un chalet très spacieux et confortable pour deux familles. A 10 minutes à pieds de toutes commodité. La vue et le jardin son très agréables. La décoration un peu vieillotte mériterait un petit coup de frais , notamment l’éclairage de la cuisine qui pourrait être amélioré. Le chauffage est réglé beaucoup trop chaud..

séjour parfait: chalet au calme, confortable, vue magnifique sur Jungfrau, intérieur rustique mais propre et pratique. Situé à 10 minutes du centre ville. Accès par une soixantaine de marches en descente mais vaut le déplacement!
