Hermoso espacioso junto al mar en Suite Loft

Un piso superior entero amplio y luminoso con cama queen y sofá cama queen. Walk in closet, baño privado, TV y espacio personal para dos o cuatro personas. Espacio recientemente renovado en una hermosa casa con vista al mar desde la piscina privada, acceso a la playa privada y la mejor posada de buceo en la posada Grand Cayman. Shaggys place is totally awesome. We had the top floor unit. You share the house with other guests on the second floor. There are three rooms and three bathrooms- the second floor has a room with an ensuite and the other bathrooms are on the same floor. The kitchen and living room is downstairs. Kitchen has everything you need to make a meal although some of the pans are pretty beat up but we found everything we needed even spices. There is a wonderful pool outside and a lovely porch area, we saw a parrot. There is a ladder by the ocean which is a couple of steps and you can snorkel or shore dive from ther to a great reef. There is a great restaurant on the water in walking distance that we went to a few times (Cracked Conch). We had great roommates who went diving with us. This place is the best place to stay on Cayman if you want to dive every day. Shaggy runs the best dive boat ever. At the house you can hang your wet gear outside and there are tanks right there to use if you want to shore dive. My husband and I both had injured arms so we had limited ability to carry equipment but Gary carried our gear for us and made everything work. Totally awesome time.

Many things you need are already in the apartment. We didn't have water for 2 days, but there were gallons of bottled water in the cupboards. Also many spices, coffee, much tableware. Easy on and out at the onsite dive site. Tanks always there! Also a nice LG OLED tv in living room. I'll be back in June 2024!!

West Bay stay

Our 3rd visit staying on the island and 3rd time staying in West Bay. Excellent location for us. Shaggy and his team had a great unit with shared spaces and we met some great people. Though we don’t dive we do snorkel quite a bit and this is a good spot to get in even without a beach. Had a great time and we love Grand Cayman and all it has to offer.

Things to keep in mind before renting

Please note that this property is not exclusively yours during your stay. The condo has four rooms available for rent, and the host is not on site. Despite the condo’s excellent location, the potential presence of other guests can be surprising, especially as VRBO usually offers entire property rentals. I was taken aback when three unknown men entered the condo one afternoon without prior notice, while my wife, teenage daughter, and I were in one room and another woman was renting another room. This setup also impacts control over the AC, bathroom access, and the use of shared areas. This wasn't clear from the property listing, so it's worth asking about the number of people sharing the property during your stay. However, Shaggy and his team were very friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful time in West Bay.

Brilliant Location / Place

Upon arrival, Shaggy showed us the property and gave us tips of the area. There are 3 bedrooms, each has its own bathroom , one living room, an outdoor deck - kitchen is fully equipment, we brought food supplies and stored them in the fridge - the pool is the perfect hang out after a day of sightseeing- Collier beach ( east side) is the best beach we could find -- its far ( 45 min) but totally worth it! Thank you Shaggy for a great place to stay!

You can snorkel from shore when the waves are calm. House has everything you need. Quiet neighborhood and no noise from adjacent condos. Pool is gorgeous though we used ocean instead. Busses very easy to catch. We didn’t need to rent a car. $2.50 u. S. To get anywhere in west bay or as far south as bus depot. Busses run about every 5 minutes. Pay in cash. Fun to share common areas with other guests and meet other travelers. One suggestion might be to have each guest room be able to be locked. Now it’s the honor system. We had delightful fellow travelers there when we were there so it was no issue. Owner Shaggy, is very responsive. I would definitely choose this place again.

Beautiful grounds and the ocean is right there. Great sunsets. It’s a $30 cab ride to Georgetown

Shaggy is very helpful and available. We somehow missed that this is a “shared house” situation (like a hostel) so make sure you know that! Off the beaten path but right next to Cayman Turtle Center, and the best restaurant on the island. Divers paradise.
