Lovely beach, good shopping and cafes/restaurant, but busy and touristy.

The shuttle from Andakiri drops you at the beach where you can get on a longboat over to Railay. Railay is busy but the walking paths throughout the little town make it seem more peaceful than Ao Nang. It has some cool rasta bars and you can wander around with your drink and take your cocktails to the beach with you. There are also a TON of monkeys over there. Definitely recommend checking out Railay beach at least once during your stay in Krabi. We didn't feel the need to actually stay in Railay but many people do spend a couple days of their time there.

If you are in Railay you must go for the view point and lagoon. And yes, to get there you will struggle through clammy mud and roots but tottaly worth it. once you reach the lagoon and manage to get into the water
