“We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. ”

“The breakfasts were scrumptious. The beach was just below our room, with extensive views across the Cleddau estuary, with 2 swans coming in and out with the tides. The hotel staff were helpful, knowledgeable and eager to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. ”

“The place had a lot of potential, it just felt neglected and unloved. They had gone to a lot of effort to supply breakfast items in the shared kitchen and it was obviously visited each day by a host as it was tidied and rubbish cleared but some cupboards had random packets and crumbs,the salt and pepper pots were dirty and sticky. “Clean house, good location. no on-site parking as stated in hotels.com description however is a cheap car park down the road to the side of the property. Could do with a double bed in downstairs room. ”
