We had our first time in Westport, specifically for the king tides. I found this condo with an ocean view, which I thought would be perfect. However, the owner contacted us shortly after booking to inform us that the patio would be under construction and unavailable. Nevertheless, we still had the beautiful ocean view.Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful grounds and the ocean just a stone’s throw away. The condo itself was nice, but the bay windows were covered in plastic, making the ocean view a bit of a blur. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, so we tried using the sofa bed, which was equally bad. Needless to say, we didn’t get any sleep.The condo didn’t seem to have cold water; it only ran lukewarm. They did have a pitcher in the fridge for us to fill, though. We also found dirty dishes in the cupboards, a sponge with food residue, and only half of the rain showerhead worked. To top it off, all the frying pans were very scratched.I’m not deducting all the stars because the condo itself is quite nice and has a great location. However, they need to address some of the issues inside the condo. If they do, this would be a fantastic rental.
