App door key is functional once you get used to it, though I would prefer a key or code personally as having all of the doors unlock before I reach them is a security/safety risk, especially for lone travellers. “Unexpected damage deposit required. Check in process and access to the property was not obvious. Room was ok. Old instant coffee was not good, I had to get coffee bags from a local gas station instead. Location is a ~10 minutes walk from a handful of restaurant places.”

“No parking at this property is an issue and paying for parking only adds to the cost. Rooms were a good size but the beds are small considering the space that there is. Quilts are great if the weather is cold but the room is warm and even with aircon on and set at 20 degrees we were hot. Ugly cumbersome mugs to drink a cup of tea from. Breakfast is average.”

“Room was clean and nicely presented. There is significant building work taking place so restaurant not open (which they did pre-warn me about,), and skeleton staff. However, the staff were super helpful and friendly. Everything closes at 8pm ( bar, front gates etc) so not a place to stay if you are looking to relax of an evening outside of your room. ”

“Couldon Lodge is a lovey old place, full of character. The gardens are huge and the outlook across them and the fields beyond very relaxing, especially on a nice afternoon, when you've returned from work. The bed was comfortable and clean. The continental Breakfast arrangements are convenient and plenty of choice.”
