Why not take the train along the scenic railway line to Whitby (17 miles) and spend a day exploring the alleyways and cobbled streets which offer an eclectic mix of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Slightly further afield is the bustling market town of Pickering (21 miles) with its historic castle, Dalby Forest (27 miles) with miles of cycle tracks to enjoy and the beautiful Castle Howard (20 miles). Other pretty market towns worth a visit include Helmsley (21 miles) and Malton which both have a variety of shops and local produce, Malton (25 miles) is fondly known as Yorkshire’s food capital and has regular food fayres. Not forgetting the nearby beaches for you to enjoy.

Head down the path to this cosy little bolthole for two. Step inside, the property has been transformed into a quirky and stylish space that’s perfect for romantic getaways. Prepare meals in the contemporary kitchen area equipped with everything you need to rustle up a delicious dinner including an electric hob/oven, fridge and microwave. There is a neat table for two or take your meal outside and dine alfresco with the views of the rolling countryside. After dinner, snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV or take a walk in the impressive surrounding moorland. This is a welcoming space for both summer and winter retreats with high ceiling and traditional Yorkshire stoned flooring. The wet room is finished beautifully with a shower and WC which is warmed with under-floor heating. When night calls, climb the ladder to the elevated hand-crafted oak bed and get a good night’s rest.

Step outside to the terrace, which offers a private space to enjoy a drink or meal at the table whilst enjoying the delightful views and listening to the sounds of the countryside wildlife.
