  • This is an ideal romantic retreat for a couple wishing to explore Whitby with its picturesque harbour, Pannett Park and Museum, narrow cobbled streets and individual shops.. Third Floor:

    Open plan living space.

    Living area: 42" Freeview TV, DVD Player

    Dining area.

    Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Combi Microwave/Oven/Grill, Fridge/Freezer, Washer Dryer

    Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV

    Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack.. Shared grounds. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Tidal View is a contemporary, third floor apartment situated in an ideal location just a short distance away from the bustling heart of Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. It provides a perfect base for couples looking to explore this beautiful coastline and also the North York Moors National Park. The communal grounds surrounding the property have some lovely areas to enjoy the stunning views over the harbour and abbey. As the position is so close to all amenities you could leave your car and explore Whitby on foot. It is a haven for walkers and cyclists, and many walks can be accessed from your doorstep including a riverside walk and a lovely coastal walk along the disused railway line between Whitby and Scarborough. Whitby has so much to offer all year round and is a very popular place to visit. There is a large selection of pubs, quaint antique and gift shops and famous fish and chip shops. The local tour bus is an excellent way of visiting some of Whitby’s highlights including the stunning abbey and St Mary’s Church, positioned on the cliff top where you can enjoy spectacular views over Whitby and out to sea. There are also many events going on all year round including Whitby’s own regatta, Folk Week, music weekends and Goth weekends which offer something to please everyone. If you would like to travel further afield you can visit many pretty coastal resorts dotted along the coast from Whitby including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay which are all worth a day out. Shop ¼ mile, pub 300 yards, restaurant ½ mile.

Second time we've stayed here as enjoyed it for our weekend break last year.

Second time we've stayed here as enjoyed it for our weekend break last year. Great location for walks and local pubs / shops. Comes with parking and such a comfy bed. Only complaint is the radiators being a bit complex to work and also couldn't figure out the microwave. BUT there is an instruction manual for those who can be bothered. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. Went for Whitby Goth Weekend, plenty of space for all our costumes, boots, coats etc. Was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Even better with the parking space. No worrying about where to park. Will book again

Overall this was probable the best accommodation we have stayed at.

Overall this was probable the best accommodation we have stayed at. Not strictly a cottage, more an apartment on level 3 of the apartment block. Only two very small niggles 1) We could only find one board to slice bread, vegetables and meat. Can I suggest the owner provide another chopping board to reduce contamination. That would then separate the bread slicing from veg and meat cutting surfaces. 2) There are a pair of tongues for turning meat etc. The existing tongues have plastic ends and presumably a previous occupant has left it on the frying pan and the plastic ends have melted. I suggest you purchase metal tongues. Both point will cost very little to resolve.

Extremely clean, well equipped, comfortable apartment. Lots of things to do in the area and lovely walks from the door. Ideal for coast and countryside. Visited Falling Foss, Boggle Hole, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes. Had a lovely time on our second visit and were even fortunate enough to have good weather!
