Wished we had booked a longer stay! This was a FIND - perfectly situated halfway between CDA and Boise. The views were as advertised. We also loved seeing the friendly cows next door.

We had an amazing stay here! The house was clean comfortable and full of character, kitchen stocked with all utensils needed, the views from the home were stunning. The loft was perfect for the kids with toys and books. Highly recommend and we hope to come back someday!

The listing is beautiful and somehow in person was even better. The views were spectacular, whole house was clean and well cared for, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and great quality, all the amenities needed for it to feel like home. Perfect getaway!!

Look forward to 360 degree mountain views at this stay! We really enjoyed it. The host was very quick to respond to all of our little questions. It was cooler outside during our visit so no need for AC, but the home was easy to heat and we were quite comfortable. Highly recommend.

I loved our stay, it was hard to leave. My husband and I needed a place to get away to that we could be away from people, i work in health care and he is a truck driver. We were able to lock our selfs away and just decompress. The full kitchen was so nice, and the king size bed was amazing. The host was always available. This will be on our list as a must to get away to again.

Upon arrival, we were very surprised by the location (high on a hill but easy to get to), the layout of the house, the cleanliness, and all the amenities. The views of the hills and the Salmon River were outrageously peaceful and beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with every cooking pot, pan, utensil you can imagine--all looking new. Excellent air conditioning and heat. We rented this house for just 2 people (even though you could easily sleep 8) for the purpose of visiting extended family in the area. Little did we know at the time of making the reservation that our family was located extremely close by. When they visited the house, they too were very impressed. It felt like you were staying in the Bavarian Alps. We would suggest putting some grab bars in the master shower because the stone floor gets slippery when wet. We must admit that this is the first house we have ever rented and it sets a very high standard for future rentals. We made use of the nearest town (White Bird) by eating at Red's Kitchen several times and buying some antiques at the local antique store. We highly recommend this rental and plan to return.

Great home with lots of windows providing great views. It fit our needs perfectly & we thought it would probably be great for families.we appreciated the info provided by the host. Great fo relaxing and exploring several different areas nearby. Very clean, well kept, with lots of storage places. Kitchen and appliances with cooking supples and dishes, etc. were perfect. Would recommend to anyone. Helpful, responsive hots.

This was beyond our expectations! Thank you SO much! If you love to cook while on vacation this place is not wanting for anything! Complete with tinfoil, plastic wrap and baggies, etc! They have thought of everything!!! The views are incredible! The place was spotless! This was the perfect location as it was right by the wedding we were there to assist with and attend.

5 starsWe had a wonderful stay at this charming hilltop home just outside of White Bird, Idaho. Perched above the lower Salmon River, the wraparound porch offers incredible views, peaceful sunsets, and a true sense of quiet seclusion—yet you're still close to all kinds of adventure.It’s just minutes from Killgore Adventure Tours and the turnoff to Pittsburgh Landing, making it an ideal base for exploring Hells Canyon. (We were lucky enough to see bears and longhorn sheep during our trip—an unforgettable experience!)The house itself is well thought out and full of character, from the fun fish inlay in the shower floor to the little bunnies hopping around the yard and the hummingbird that stopped by for a visit. Every detail felt welcoming and intentional.

Best VRBO ever!

We were totally wowed by this property; absolutely stunning! My 14 year old loved the loft and my husband and I appreciated the king-sized bed. Beautiful EVERYTHING!! The location is just 2 miles from Kilgore Adventures if you have anything planned with them. The owners also gifted us some homemade jam .
