Hello Mordecai and thank you for posting a review. I am so sorry my Inn did not meet up to your expectations. I was quite surprised that you were disappointed. Guests love my Inn, which is decorated in warm colors of reds, yellows, greens. No one has ever thought it to be "cold, museum like". In my 18 years as an innkeeper, you have been the only guest to request the use of my kitchen to prepare dinner for yourself and wife and I was accommodating. I use my kitchen quite a bit in the evening but I allowed you and your wife first priority. I also prepared special breakfasts for you. I operate the Inn by myself and am always around for guest requests and needs. Your mattress had a down feather bed mattress cover on it, which all guests have enjoyed. I wish you had asked me to remove it and I could easily have done so for you. As far as a sign on the property - I do not wish for my guests to be bothered at night with people ringing the bell, looking for a last-minute place to stay. I respect the privacy of all my guests; thus, I discourage walk-ins. I am located exactly 1 mile south of Route 4 and am very easy to find. My road and Route 4 are country roads with very little traffic. I will agree with only 1 of your comments - my wi-fi does need improvement. My property backs up to the Quechee Gorge and weather conditions over the Gorge can interfere with a strong signal. I am working on improving this.

I do get a bit nervous when guests choose the Lilly Irene Room as their accommodation. Even though it is a warm and inviting room, it is on the smaller side. Yes, it is an old barn - 200 years old and beautifully renovated with high ceilings and large antique beams. That's what gives it it's character, charm and uniqueness.
