Great Cabin

Good central location for the flathead valley. Quite well kept property with tons of wildlife in the area. Well cabin furnished with a comfortable bed.

Plaid Swan Ranch MT

Absolutely beautiful stay in a lovely cottage with amazing grounds! Llamas and donkeys to watch, beautiful areas to sit and relax. Very unique cottage with a large loft bedroom, beautul deck with chairs, everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We loved staying on this property. The grounds were beautiful and the hosts were very hospitable. The cabin had all kinds of little conveniences that made the stay go smoothly. We wanted to explore various little towns in the area while still lodging amongst the trees. It was lovely. Don’t hesitate to book it.

Quaint, clean, outstanding!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin. The property and cabin exceeded our expectations. The cabin was so cute! It was very clean and well maintained. A lot of thought went into details of the cabin and property to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The llamas were fun to see. This would be a great place for a destination wedding. I felt like I was in a fairy tale!

July vacation

I came here with my best friend for 3 nights while we were hiking in Glacier National Park. We both wish we had stayed for longer! The farm is absolutely beautiful. Our hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. The cabin is cozy and clean with a great kitchen space. It was so peaceful to walk around the grounds and see the animals and wildflowers. Thank you, Dave and Kim!

Amazing

Our stay was amazing. The personal check in was great. Dave was so friendly and answered all of our questions. The stay was perfect. Thank you for sharing your property. The cabin exceeded our expectations. The ability to spend time with the alpacas and llamas was really nice. We can not thank you enough for our peaceful stay. Our cabin was up on a hill and we were able to sit outside and watch the deer and turkeys; as well as enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Would highly recommend this cabin or any of the others located on the ranch. Thank you again for sharing your prooerty/ cabin with us.

Beautiful Cottage

My husband and I stayed for about a week at this property, and it was amazing! It was in the high 90's all week and the AC worked so well that it was cold in the cottage. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in and has just about everything a person would need. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward and smooth. The internet works wonderfully and the property was beautiful. It's unclear from the listing, but there are multiple cottages on the property. There are so many trees, and it is set up so cleverly that you can't even see the other cottages from this one! It feels nice and secluded. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone!

Beautiful park-like setting

From the moment we were escorted through the gates, we knew that this was a classy, laid back place. The host was kind, straight forward, helpful and clearly loves this property. It was a bit far from the front door of Glacier (about 30+ minutes) but that sort of added to the joy of being there after our hiking. The cabin is CLEAN, beautiful, has absolutely everything you would need - sharp kitchen knives (are you kidding me??!), containers for leftovers, grill, adorable tea kettle, etc. The loft bedroom was romantic, gorgeous and at the top of a spiral staircase. My husband said it was the nicest place he's ever stayed & I have to say I agree.

A Montana Gem!

We stayed here on our vacation to Montana, specifically to visit Glacier National Park and to do some fishing around other areas. This was truly a hidden gem we found and it was truly amazing! Kim was so accommodating, friendly, helpful, and very reachable if we needed anything at all. It was so great to see the alpacas and wildlife on the property. There are a few cottages on the property but it is plenty private with a little outdoor area to sit and relax as well. Most of the property is nestled in the trees and we saw deer in here almost every day, just walking or lying around! There are trails throughout the property as well which you can walk on and explore the grounds. The interior of the cottage was very clean and had just about all the basics we would need while we stayed there. It was well decorated and adorable on the inside. It was such a comfy and relaxing cottage to come back to and rest after a long day exploring, hiking, and fishing around this part of Montana. It was such a prime location with Bigfork, Kalispell, West Glacier, and Whitefish all close enough by for us to travel to each day! Well worth it to stay here if you’re traveling to this side of Montana. It was an experience in itself and you will not regret staying here! We would 100% stay here again when we come back in the future!

Base Cabin for Glacier

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Glacier / west side of the park. Cabin was super cute, had most everything we needed. Great shower pressure, deck was cute, grill was appreciated. Loved seeing the alpacas, turkeys & the plethora of deer on the property. Host was great- my only suggestion would be to get a lock box (instead of a hard key- stressful to not lose it!), & not do in-person check-in's. I imagine most people drive up there & part of the fun of a road trip is being able to stop along the way & not be tied down to meeting someone at a certain time. Otherwise we had a great experience. Was about an hour drive into the West entrance of glacier.

Lovely Glacier Getaway

We loved our stay with Kim and Dave! The Bretton Cottage was quaint and had all you could need in a home away from home. They were gracious hosts - providing us with bear spray and the chance to feed some of their animals! We'll definitely stay with them again!

Perfect Place for a Girls Road Trip

We had the best time staying at this adorable cabin! It was cute, clean, quiet and had great views. It was the perfect location for visiting West Glacier and Dave was an amazing host. He made us feel right at home and provided great recommendations for food, entertainment, hiking and everything in between!

Cottage in the Woods

What a great little piece of paradise! Everything we needed for rest and relaxation while enjoying the beauty of the area. Close to all recreational activities. The llamas, alpacas, wild Turkey and deer (including a tiny fawn) were icing on the cake. Dave and Kim are great hosts too! We will definitely look to stay here again.

Everything You Expect and a Whole Lot More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Plaid Swan Ranch for our honeymoon and couldn’t have been happier. The Brenton Cottage we stayed in was clean, well furnished, and comfortable and was also the perfect home base for us as we enjoyed Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and the surrounding area. Dave and Kim had great recommendations for food and things to do in the area and also provided us with bear spray and plenty of dry wood for us to have fires. If you asked my wife, the best part of the stay was the morning llama walk around the 60 acre property and I might have to agree with her. These people are great folks and I would happily recommend them.

Montana Getaway

Tremendous stay

We had a tremendous stay and experience at the Brenton cottage. We will miss our morning visits with the alpacas. Dave and Kim were delightful hosts. The cottage sat on a beautiful property and I felt complete peace while there. Cottage was immaculate and the grounds were a delight to take a morning stroll on. Thank you for a nice escape from the reality and hustle and bustle of Philly!

Summer 2021

My husband and I visited this area for our 25th wedding anniversary. The property was so pretty, and so fun to walk around and discover new things. Kim and Dave were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our cottage was just as it looks, so cozy, comfortable and inviting. Very clean, comfy bed, just a really nice stay. So happy we found it!

Perfect getaway close to Glacier Park

This cabin was perfect in all senses. Kim and Dave made sure we had everything we needed. Dave actually stayed late and guided us to our cabin which was very kind of him. It was a very peaceful and memorable getaway. Close to Flathead and an hour drive from Glacier. Lots of pretty hikes around and would recommend local restaurants and whiskey tastings nearby. Dave is very knowledgeable and a great source of information, thanks again Dave & Kim!

Peaceful Retreat

Amazing property! !The ranch is immaculate. Best part is you can walk around the ranch, enjoy several places to sit, admire the beauty and visit all the animals and birds. Our cabin was delightful. Decorated with lovely homey touches with all the basic immenities. Kim and Dave responded quickly to email and texts. Our trip to Plaid Swan Ranch exceeded our expectations! Perfect Montana getaway

Like staying in a park

Dave welcomed us at the entrance of their beautifully manicured property. We followed him to our cottage which was equipped with everything needed for our relaxing 4 day stay. We loved to sit outside on the front deck or in the back yard in comfortable chairs. We enjoyed watching the birds, chipmunks and deer. Each day we would walk or bike a short distance and watch the Alpaca Llamas and 2 mini donkeys on their working farm. It was obvious how much Kim and Dave loved their animals and had food ready for others to feed the docile animals. Their property has a small pond, walking paths and several places to sit and enjoy it all. Even though there are other cottages we felt we were by ourselves. It was a perfect place for a couple.
