Loved the property. The house was perfect for our needs (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was easy access to the dock and cove. Several kayaks available for our use.

Spring Fishing Trip

Very quiet cozy cove to stay on. Enjoyed the mornings fishing on the dock and watching all the wildlife with my family.

Quick trip

We have rented this house several times in the past and the new updates are exactly what it was missing. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again soon.

We had such a wonderful stay at this lake house! It was the perfect size for our family of five, with plenty of space and bathrooms to make everything comfortable and convenient. The home itself was cozy, clean, and well-kept, with nearly everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. (The only tiny hiccup was that there were just three coffee filters—and we’re a two-pots-a-day family! )The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and the hot tub was such a treat—perfect for relaxing and taking it all in. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back!
Just an fyi, the coffee maker takes the #4 coffee filters.

Lake Front Retreat on Nickajack Lake

Magical location

Amazing vacation. The views are 10/10. House is beautiful & the host was VERY easy to work with. We will be renting this house at least twice a year!

Business and personal getaway

We had an amazing stay, even with the bad weather and loss of power, we couldn’t have asked for a better place or host. Brad checked in on us constantly during the weather incident and continued to go above and beyond while we were without power. We will be back, beautiful views and an extremely warm and welcoming home.

I can’t describe how wonderful and peaceful this home is. We watched 2 bald eagles eat. We caught catfish. It is just the most beautiful spot I have ever seen. The home is so awesome!

Loved it so much!!!!

We didn’t want to leave! The setting for this sweet lake house is absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful. The beds were so comfortable, the game room area and outside space absolutely perfect for us! We saw eagles and osprey and lots of ducks and geese. The dogs were worn out from all the new sights and sounds! We all loved our stay so much!

Fantastic house with a fantastic location

Brad was great with communication leading up to the dates we'd be staying and throughout the stay as well if we had questions. The house was in great condition and very clean. It's a gorgeous property set on the lake with amazing views and a great deck as well covered boat slip you can relax on. Amenities in the house were all accurate as listed, WiFi worked great and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. My friends and I had a great time and would highly recommend this property!

What a great little spot!

We really enjoyed our time at the cove! Fishing off the dock, watching spring rains move over the mountains, relaxing on the couch or in the hot tub. The bird watching was an especially great treat! Bald eagles, blue heron, cormorant, geese, osprey, mutiples types of woodpecker, song birds, and blue birds....we saw them all regularly! The muskrat and turtles made several appearances too. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, all appliances worked well, water pressure and hot water were excellent! On the drive home we were already discussing "next time we come".

Choose Canyon Cove if You Can

Everything about our stay at Canyon Cove exceeded our expectations. Brad is an amazing host with a beautiful property that was perfect for our family. We had 5 adults and 2 teens in our group with a perfect amount of space to be comfortable and relax. The lake views are stunning and the pictures of the property don’t do it justice. It would be a mistake to skip out on the opportunity to stay here if you have the chance. Thank you Brad for an amazing weekend for our family! We couldn’t have asked for a better time!

A Beautiful House, Serene Location!

The house is better than advertised, but what they don’t tell you is the best part! Early mornings on the back deck with the sun rising and the peaceful sounds of birds chirping, days spent on the dock with the sounds of the lake as the water ripples, and evenings while the sun is setting with the sounds of frogs, geese and other wildlife. But the best part was that it was all shared with family. Brad was exceptionally available for any questions we had. The house was large enough to give all six of us space, but with such comfortable living room furniture for all of us to gather. Comfy beds so we slept well. We cooked all of our meals because we didn’t want to leave our slice of paradise and the kitchen had more than what we needed. We used the kayaks and floating pads and had a blast on the quiet little cove of the lake. We even got to watch a little otter go back and forth. We have found our paradise and hope to go back again in the future!

Fabulous & Relaxing

Six adults stayed for 3 nights. The house was just wonderful! Very clean! 3 bedrooms each with en suite full baths. Well stocked with paper products and nice kitchenware, spices, cooking utensils, full sized fridge, nice oven and microwave. The outside deck was roomy and we put great use to the gas grill every day. Fun outdoor games and fire pit. We never did use the hot tub but it looked great. The view was amazing- morning, afternoon and evening. Nearby we visited Lookout Winery and Dam Distillery. Such a beautiful area! One day we drove into Chattanooga, and visited the River front (45 min drive) None of us wanted to leave, we enjoyed our stay so much! Brad was great to work with and very accommodating. Highly recommend and hope to visit again!!

Peaceful Waterfront Stay

Nice property to enjoy some relaxation. The house had everything you need and was super clean. It definitely takes a while to get to it from the interstate. Our only complaints are about the sofa bed mattress and the odor in the house. The mattress is too thin for any adult sized person to sleep on it, so my 17 year old had to sleep on the couch downstairs. The odor I'm referring to is the strong smell of old fireplace smoke in the downstairs area. My son and I both have asthma and it really affected both of us. Other than those things, the house is set up for a nice, relaxing (or fun) time.

A Very Peaceful 5-day Getaway!

This is a Very Nice home that is just steps away from a beautiful, serene cove, the perfect place for visiting with family as we did! The two boys (ages 10 and 11) spent most of their time either in the water or fishing with Mom closely watching over them, while the two of us (Nana and Papa) mostly watched from the house because it was a bit hotter than we had expected. However, all rooms (except for one bedroom and the bathrooms) took advantage of the lake view, so we could keep an eye on them from virtually anywhere! The only thing I would caution future guests about is that there is a fair stretch of rough road and gravel driveways, so if you have a low-clearance car or one without AWD or 4WD you might check with the owner to make sure you won't have any issues, particularly exiting the driveway. Otherwise, I would recommend this property to anyone!

Great for big group

This was a very clean home with enough towels and comfy bed. Not crazy about the drive from Chattanooga. It is a good ways and curvy roads. The driveway is steep and if more than two vehicles it will be very tight. We knew about the stairs but they are very steep too and you need to be very careful! If someone is not able to climb stairs or in a wheelchair, this would not be the house for you. The door lock needs to be replaced!!! We struggled the entire time with it because we had to use the key which was tricky and hard to take out. The door lock is old and needs to be replaced! Other than that it is a beautiful view and if you have a large group the three bathrooms are wonderful!
