“I rented this space for my dad and his group for a Thanksgiving visit to Portland. It was only for a few days. My dad would not stop talking about how much he loved it. It was perfect -- quiet, clean, and cozy, with friendly chickens in the backyard there to greet him when he walked by -- but I think it was the record player and Ray Charles records in the home which charmed him the most. It had most everything we needed, and there were some nice, unexpected touches, like the cornhole game and the excellent tea selection -- even Bengal Spice, my favorite! Barb had a fire expertely built for us in the chimena -- one match was all it needed and we had a nice evening in the glider enjoying the flame.
