And the house has a great set up. We liked that it feels separated from the hustle and bustle of town but is close enough to go to the main town area easily.”

“This was a great cabin for my husband and I to get away for a weekend. We throughly enjoyed the space and what was offered. We were able to cook small meals, enjoy the hot tub, and it is so close to shopping/recreation/restaurants. We had a small issue with a breaker after a crazy rain storm blew in. The hosts were so helpful and quick with getting us back up & running. Would definitely recommend a stay here! ”

Great place in the Hill Country - the only complaints would be that they get the swimming hole cleaned up (there is a ton of trees and debris in what would be a beautiful swimming creak, which is now blocked and clogged to which can not be used as it is sitting water.). It made us sad to see, as it has been an obvious generational swimming hole that has been there for generations - which has not been maintained - and kind of offensive to the city and county of Wimberely as...

“This house was perfect for our annual family vacation! We hosted our kids and grandkids for a long weekend and this was by far, the best house we have stayed in to date. So much room to spread out, yet do things together! ”

“Beautiful property! Fascinating and interesting architecture—loved getting to see it in person. We did not try using the hot tub or jacuzzi tub, so we can’t report on those. All else worked fine. Not all was pristine, but we did little cooking, so not a problem for us. Good satellite TV. Good cellular service. The sunrise was beautiful—we were disappointed in not having coffee while watching the sunrise. So bring coffee! We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!”

“The Rooster Cabin was a total delight! The grounds, the house, area were everything we'd hoped for. The grounds were well maintained, the house well stocked and the area secluded. I absolutely loved all the old windows and stained glass! Beautiful home and fabulous air conditioner!”
