  • Located in a very popular part of Windermere with instant access to shops, pubs and restaurants. Minutes from the train station and a short walk from the lake.. Ground Floor:

    First Floor:

    Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV

    Wet Room: Shower, Toilet

    Second Floor:

    Bedroom 2: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freeview TV

    Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Gas central heating, electricity, fresh bed linen and towels. Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fires included during winter months.. Patio to front and rear with metal garden furniture. Parking permit for 1 car and room for Parking 1 reasonably sized car horizontal to the rear of property. No smoking.. A delightful Lakeland cottage in a central location. This charming property is found just off the main street in Windermere itself and is ideal for guests wanting to place themselves within the town’s popular amenities. A short stroll to the pretty town centre finds a selection of restaurants, cafés and shops with something for everyone.



    Windermere offers an ideal base from which to explore the Lakes. How you do this is entirely up to you! Trains run regularly from the local station, just a short walk away. The much loved Lake Windermere steamers depart from nearby Bowness, another hugely popular Lakeland town. Walkers of all abilities will enjoy easy access to fabulous routes literally from your doorstep. It’s not just the great location of this holiday home that guests will find a bonus. This property benefits from a fabulous wet room and delightful, well equipped shaker style kitchen. Combine these with the cosy lounge and beautifully presented dining room and guests will appreciate the careful attention the owners have put into creating a holiday cottage with that special home from home feel about it. Shop 100 yards, pub 200 yards and restaurant 50 yards.

Ideal space to explore the Lakes

Very clean and well presented property in an excellent location allowing access to all local amenities within a 5 min walk, including some excellent coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The parking around the back of the property was tight as described but local on street parking was always available with minimal fuss. From the initial email right through to leaving the property the owners provided a first class service, we will certainly be recommending the property to our friends.

Lovely break in a lovely cottage and the owners could not have been more helpful re checking in etc. Only reason for not 10’s across the board was the parking which was a little tricky but manageable and as there was 4 of us, a second toilet would have been useful. Cozy cottage located in the center of town, but set back enough from the traffic and noise. Very quite location. Furnished to a high standard and it is clean and comfortable. Parking was tight, but we did manage every day to get in the bay at the back of the cottage with no problem. Facilities were good. Some 'high touch' items have been removed, so make sure you pack an iron and hairdryer if you need one ! First time to the lakes, beautiful this time of the year. Check in and out were both very smooth, communication is excellent from both Tim and Kim. We would return and are happy to recommend to others. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

This cottage is a great place to use as a base to explore the lakes.

This cottage is a great place to use as a base to explore the lakes. We went off hiking and rock-climbing every day. The rather unique feature, though, is that it is located in central Windermere town, literally 30 metres from the high street, with Coop, Sainsburys, ice cream shops, bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed that aspect, and found ourselves popping out to the high street all the time, for shopping, breakfast, dinner and ice cream. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Great home base to explore the Lake District

My wife and I stayed at this property with our 3 kids (ages 6-11). We had a great time at this location. Plenty of beds for a family of 5 and well sized common rooms. This isn't a large property but it uses its space efficiently and it doesn't feel crowded. The location is close to the bus line which is very helpful for exploring the area. Several shopping options nearby was very helpful and the Booths at the train station was a 5 minute walk away (very convenient!). We would definitely rent here again on our next visit to the Lake District.

Great position in a lovely village - everything in Windermere in your door stel and Bowness about 20 mins' walk. Parking easy for two cars. One bathroom for 6 guests meant it took a while to get through showers after activities but we knew that was the case. We'd definitely return. Thanks.

18 in the corner is a lovely cottage perfectly located in a quiet street but only seconds from the shops and restaurants. It has everything you would expect and is also much bigger than it appears in the pictures. The owners communication was really good and they answered questions we had very quickly... We will definitely be booking again!!
