Buena opción

Estuvimos una noche y la habitación que nos dieron fue particularmente amplia. La limpieza fue excelente y el personal muy amable. El desayuno aunque es sencillo es muy bueno!. Enfrente hay un pequeño mall que cuenta con servicios como ATM y lavandería. Nosotros contabamos con carro así que la ubicación no fue ningún problema.

Gut gepflegte Anlage. Sehr nettes Personal. Alle Wünsche werden erfüllt. Man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben.

Wouldn’t stay again

I booked Hotel Etambi last minute not doing enough research of Windhoek beforehand. It’s further out of the city (not to far but far enough) andnisnt in a great neighborhood. When I arrived (late at night) the property owner greeted me with a half desire to check me in. She told me it wasn’t safe to have my windows open at night even though it’s in a gated compound. For the first 20 mins I couldn’t find the AC remote and it was 100 degrees, it took me 10 doorbell rings for the owner to hear and come down to provide me with the a remote (no fault of hers) but it was very uncomfortable as it was SO hot and I felt like I was disturbing her. Breakfast was nice and the owner was much more pleasant during check out (probably a personality culture difference) Its not horrible but I wouldn’t stay again

Un lieu de charme

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel lorsque nous sommes arrivés à Windhoek en attendant de prendre en charge le 4*4 que nous avions loué dans les environs. L’hôtel est correct en ce qui concerne la chambre et la literie. La situation géographique est bonne car il ne se situe pas loin à pieds d'un restaurant et d'un supermarché. Cependant,il est difficile de régler le débit d'eau chaude dans la douche ce qui peut être gênant.

Empfehlenswert

Etambi ist eine rel. einfache Unterkunft. Es hat aber alles was es braucht und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Parkplatz ist kein Problem, ein Einkaufszentrum ist in 3 min zu Fuss erreichbar. Eros Airport, Golfklub, UNAM mit dem Auto bequem erreichbar. Stadtzentrum in ca. 10min erreichbar.

The big disappointment was to discover that Hotel Etambi Garni provided only breakfast and we had to look further afield for the other two meals each day. The hotel is towards the outskirts of Windhoek, but the refrigerator in the room to store drinks and food helped alleviate this shortcoming. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were excellent. Secure parking was provided.

Hotel - Not ideal for Business Travelers

The hotel needs a refurbishment job seems long overdue. So quaint, toilet discolored - needs proper clean, curtains struggle to cover the entire window so no privacy, no WIFI (it's advertised that WIFI is free but it does not work in the room at all), also the phone line to reception was not working - A real pain! Will never stay here again... Last, it's far from the city center in a neighborhood that has nothing to offer.

Beautiful and serene

This is a beautiful, quiet place. Lovely, serene garden to relax in. Service was excellent. Our laundry was washed, dried and ironed withing 3 hours, despite being outside of operating times. Wi-fi fluctuated in the room. On the whole a good place to stay. highly recommended.

Relaxation in Namibia

My group travelled to Namibia for a week in November. It is a beautiful country, warm people and great fun. We would recommend this hotel highly.

A good place to stay in Windhoek

A very nice family-owned pension. A good place to stay. Pros: Very friendly and helpful stuff, nice and big room (with shower and place for a bath!), very clean and safe room. A few slightly negative things: The hotel is a bit far from the city center (you need a taxi, but it is not expensive), no german tv channel (some hotels and pensions offer ZDF/Deutsche Welle). I would stay there again and can recommend the pension.

Great alternative to a big hotel

I booked a stay at Hotel Etambi when the local conference hotel was booked. Before arriving to Windhoek, I managed to get a few nights at the conference hotel, but really wish I could have just stayed at Hotel Etambi. There are several rooms on the property, and the property is very well maintained. Lots of greenery and small patios scattered throughout, so it's easy to find a place to sit, relax, or work. There is also a swimming pool on the premises, but I didn't get a chance to use it. The property is also gated, making it feel secure. The staff were super helpful and responsive. They arranged my airport pickup, helped me book taxis into town, and provide dining recommendations.
