While the interior of this home is modern and beautifully furnished, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by several serious issues. The biggest frustration was the broken gate, accessing it, manually forcing it open from inside the house, as it was stuck in one position. This took nearly 30 minutes each time, which was especially inconvenient in the rain while we were dressed in suits for a convention.
During our stay, a tree bench fell and damaged our truck. The host offered no real concern just an AI-generated message saying to go through insurance and didn’t even ask for photos. We were offered a 5% discount, which felt inadequate given the circumstances.
The backyard was unkempt, with leaves and debris everywhere, and the hot tub was filthy and completely unusable. Inside the house, we found garbage (used Tim Hortons containers) in the cupboards, suggesting poor cleaning between guests.
While the house itself has great potential and the interior is visually appealing, the lack of maintenance, poor communication, and absence of genuine hospitality seriously impacted our stay. We hope the host addresses these issues for future guests.
