We were in Winston Salem to visit our daughter who is at Wake Forest. It was myself, my husband, our son (17), daughter (18), and my parents. We chose this place because it had enough bedrooms for all of us, but that was the only good thing about it. The house is extremely basic, and nothing about it feels luxurious, or even homey. The decor is cheap and bland, there are stained shag carpets upstairs, a huge backyard with no grill, no chairs, just dead grass. The hall bathroom was particularly bad - the vanity had a missing panel with nails sticking out of it, there was grime and hairs along the baseboards, a stained shower curtain, & dirty bathmats. The house instructions said to let the property manager know if there was anything wrong or broken upon check-in, otherwise we would be charged, so I messaged him that evening, which was a Friday. The next morning, I noticed that the freezer was leaking, and messaged him again. He finally responded saying that the only thing he could do was send the cleaning crew there to clean the house. We had planned to spend some time visiting and relaxing in the house that day, and having a cleaning crew there was not in the plans, so I told him no thanks. When we messaged him that the Wi-Fi and TV also weren't working, he told me I was complaining and refusing his offer to "help" by sending the cleaners, and said if we were so unhappy we should find a hotel to stay in. I can't believe we paid over $400 a night for this place :(
