  • Private Home On 5-Acres

    This home is perfect for those visiting family, those traveling the Blue Ridge, fishing the New River, and those looking to unwind. Situated on 5 acres, you can hike the property while enjoying great views of the hillsides and Crooked Creek. Bird lovers and stargazers will find this peaceful location a haven. (Don't worry- you are only 10 minutes from many shops and restaurants!)

    This home offers two large furnished decks for relaxing and dining. Be sure to catch the sunsets; they are amazing! The outdoor fire pit is great for smores and re-grouping after a long day.

    Inside you will find a well-stocked kitchen with spices and oils, allowing for quality meal prep. The cozy couches are the perfect spot to curl up and watch a movie on Netflix. Upstairs you will find a desk and sitting chair for reading—space for yoga, and meditation is here. You will find the home bright and private, with lots of additional mood lighting.

    One room offers a queen size bed with a comfortable mattress and soft linens. The second room offers a single bed with soft linens and a sitting chair. There is a blow-up mattress with linens for an additional guest. The 3-piece bathroom is stocked with towels, shampoo, and soaps. A washer and dryer are located here for your convenience.

    Fish down the road at a trophy trout stocked Crooked Creek & bring your dinner home to grill. It feels like the middle of nowhere, yet just minutes from stores, shops, restaurants, hiking trails, and much more.

    Things To Note
    No contact entry. (But, someone will be available if need be.)
    The house and property are yours to enjoy and are rented solely to you.
    The basement and upstairs room are locked to guests. Please enjoy all other areas of the home and the 5-acre property.
    Our driveway is gravel and on a steep incline with a bend. It is recommended to use a 4X4 or AWD when renting our home.
    Netflix is provided as a streaming service.
    Pets are welcome

Anniversary Getaway

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home. The house was well stocked with everything you could need. Beautiful views from the front deck where we enjoyed dinner. We would definitely recommend this beautiful mountain getaway!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely location. The house is comfortable and clean. The porches are wonderful and the flowers beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. The host very nice and accommodating. I would recommend.

Great place to stay

The property is on a beautiful hill, with a great view of the country and wildlife. The owner’s were very responsive! Would recommend.

Peaceful and very quiet

Loved the peacefulness of this location. Down a country road but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants. Also close Galax, Hillsville and a MUST trip into Floyd. Would recommend to anyone who loves quiet and solitude. Craig was a great host.

Beautiful and relaxing

The house is very clean and well kept, and stocked with everything you would need for your stay. The location is amazing, beautiful views of the hills and farmland. Craig is a great host and was responsive to any messages I sent. Highly recommended!

Perfect views, great location!

Girls weekend in this sweet house! Hard to say the best part...loved the porches overlooking the greenery and creek winding around in front of the house. Close to Galax and Hillsville plus within driving distance to other areas. Love that the house has an oversized bathroom! Very comfortable and clean house with all the amenities. Thank you Craig for a lovely stay!

Beautiful home away from home

What a gorgeous space for a mountain retreat! The property was clean and welcoming, complete with all the amenities to feel like home. The house is beautifully decorated and the attention to detail is apparent. Gorgeous flowers surrounded the side of the house and back deck. The front and back decks made for beautiful mornings and evenings sitting out in the fresh valley air. The owner was so patient with all of my quetions leading up to our arrival. (First time VBRO renter here) He was very responsive and helpful! Hubby and I are already planning our next stay here!

Wonderful Stay!

There are so many great things to say! This charming home is perfect for anyone looking for a quaint and peaceful getaway to the rolling hills of Virginia. My husband and I came down to trout fish for the weekend, and it was perfect for us. The home is located close enough to grocery stores and other restaurants, but just far enough outside of town to enjoy the quiet serenity of the mixed landscape that surrounds the home. This home is in the perfect location for anyone looking to visit Crooked Creek WMA, which was our primary fishing destination-- it is just a few miles down some backroads. The home is stocked with everything that you need. We loved our morning coffee and tea on the front porch, where we were joined by a few deer walking about the front yard, which was neat. Craig is a fantastic host, and was very easy to communicate with, including when we had a few questions during our stay. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking to visit the area for any reason. This home will certainly be our go-to for future fishing trips!
