“A really large bed and tv with plenty of choice . Blackout blinds and an extra fan to combat the hot weather .No real room service though and no on site staff to chat with, although plenty of info of who to contact for any issues . I found the room door lock fiddly at first but then realised that you have to run your fingers all over it to activate it and light it up. Once that happens then enter your code and you are in . Really good shower but the dispensers could have done with being topped...

“We had another wonderful stay. It’s in a great spot with Meadowhall across the road, off the M1 and only a 20 minute drive (if that) from the town centre. The staff were fabulous, especially Rachel and Anthony. If we come back to Sheffield, we would stay again. ”

“No shower gel or soap in the bathroom. House keeping should check on the bottles of gel everyday. Room service was ok, but I won’t come back. I phoned front desk and house keeping numbers for several minutes and no one ever answer. Poor service ! ”

“The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. “Hotel looked great online and like a 1970s holiday camp when we arrived with metal staircases and chalet rooms We also had a lovely guest decide to smash the room up under us and threaten everyone police called not 1 member of staff checking anyone was ok Breakfast was awful all in all never to be repeated again”

“Room was lovely, we didn't arrive in time for dinner unfortunately as the kitchen closed at 9pm on the Saturday. There was only a hand towel in the bathroom rather than any towels to be able to use the shower/ bath. Slightly noisy up the stairs from the pub which is open until 11pm (not a complaint, just for awareness). Breakfast was lovely and great views”
