Bebbuxija isn't the most luxurious holiday home we've stayed in but what it lacks in 5* hotel luxury it makes up for in character, location and pool size.We couldn't fault the location, Xaghra is a small, charming town with a lovely, local feel. It is the home to Ġgantija Archaeological Park, and you can visit caves under two of the houses in the town - we'd particularly recommend Xerri's grotto. The property is a 3 minute walk from the centre of Xaghra with plenty of restaurants and bars surrounding the church square. There are several grocery shops, butchers and supermarkets also within easy walking distance.The pool at Bebbuxija is a good size, particularly when compared with similar sized holiday homes and the poolside area has plenty of options for sitting in the shade or full sun.A couple of things to be aware of - the main bedroom and room with bunk beds have a door linking them but can also be accessed separately. The water pressure is very variable so showers can take a bit longer than anticipated.If you are looking for a town location that doesn't feel too 'touristy', with a good pool and plenty of rustic character, this house is great. As a family of 4 with 2 older teenagers, we had a very enjoyable week!
