  • This home located near the ocean is the perfect getaway for you and your family! This rental has a full kitchen for easy meal preparation and plenty of space for dining and relaxing. Great value and location to the beach! Very spacious and very clean. The house in the back and trailer park are a little bit of an eyesore I would recommend privacy trees. Overall great value and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time staying at this house. Would definitely be interested in renting in the future. The location was so convenient in the property was very well kept. This was my first time, renting a vacation home and has given me confidence that it will not be my last.

Great Location

This house had everything we needed and more! It was off the street and very quiet. We enjoyed the spacious yard and fire pit. Will definitely look into booking for next year!

The house was perfect for us, we had 8 people and there was plenty of space for sleeping and just hanging out. I loved the firepit outside and the basketball hoop. Overall the house was clean and in a good location. It was less than a 10 minute walk to get down to short sands!

York Wedding Weekend

The house was very clean and well appointed. We spent a long weekend there with our adult children while we all attended our niece’s destination wedding at a beautiful farm in York. Very centrally located.

Spacious, fun, cozy and relaxing all at the same time. Easy walk to town and the beach. Uncomplicated accommodations, even better than represented in photos.!

Weekend visit

Very clean cottage, nicely appointed and well stocked. We were a party of 7 and had a great time for the weekend. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms had all that we needed. Nice fire pit seating area. Cottage is close to Short Sands and downtown York Beach. Very nice rental!

not exactly as expected

This house is spacious, clean beds, big kitchen but be aware that it does not have a dishwasher, is a big 10 minutes walk from the beach, only one bathroom, narrow staircase to the second floor that makes it tricky to go down at night to the bathroom. There is a big camping site next to the house...We were happy we stayed only 3 nights for those reasons.

We really enjoyed staying at this property, the house was very clean and spacious. the decor, quality of bedding, towels, and kitchen items were great! I was a little disappointed there was no dishwasher as advertised in rental posting. Home would benefit from adding a restroom and/or a half bath on the second floor. Having to navigate the steep stairs while holding a toddler in the middle of the night was challenging. The location from Short Sands/Town center is fantastic, the main reason for choosing this property was the large yard which is where we spent most of our time. It would be great to add a picnic table or larger table and chairs for guests to eat after grilling. Overall, my family and I were satisfied and are making plans for reserving again for our 2026 vacation!

Quick weekend stay

Bedding comfortable. Location perfect. Staying in main house was fine. Have to think again renting with only one bathroom. Tub/shower needs attention. Does not drain properly. And though amenities included dishwasher pods…no dishwasher that we saw. Wasn’t really needed as we did not cook.

Family time

This was our 2nd year at the property. It is within walking distance to the downtown and short beach. Great yard with lights and fire pit, just remember to bring your own wood. Home is completely stocked for cooking and relaxing. Beds are comfortable. 1 bathroom is tough, but doable. Trash pickup is Tuesday, which we wish was included in the rental agreement. Woodwork around the back door should be replaced. Great house

Stay in York Maine

My friends and I stayed at this property to attend a wedding nearby in York. The location was great, as it was just a quick 10 minute walk to downtown York. While the property sleeps 8, one of the bedrooms is a sunroom with no privacy because there is a window directly into the living area. We also had an issue with a blown fuse (the house could not manage running the multiple air conditioning units the house was equipped with at the same time), but the fuse box was locked in the basement an inaccessible to guests and we unfortunately had to wait a couple of hours until the property manager was able to come by to restore the power. Beware that if you accidentally forget anything at the house, the property management group will charge you $25 plus taxes and fees, simply to “search” for your item. We did not have a good experience with the property management group.

Nice Home!

I stayed in this home with my children ages 15 and 21. We loved the location of this home ad we were able to walk back and forth to Short Sands. I did very little driving during our vacation, which was nice. The home was very clean and comfortable. Although we didn't use it, I loved the outdoor fire pit and lights. I appreciated that this home was pet friendly and there was not a hint of pets having been in the home. To make the home 5 stars, I would have appreciated a dishwasher and washer/dryer in the home. It was advertised that there were beach towels provided but there were only 2 beach towels in the home that sleeps 8. While the rest of the home was kept very cool with window unit air conditioners, I would have appreciated one in the master bedroom as that room got very warm without one despite keeping the blinds closed and the floor fan on. My oldest daughter slept on the trundle bed on the converted porch room adjacent to the living room and she would have liked to have a window shade or blind to be able to open and close for privacy while in her room. Overall we were very happy and had a great vacation in this home!

Great Place

We had a great few days in maine. The house was very clean and well stocked. It is in a great location, you can walk to town and the beach. Very quiet area. Would definately stay again and will be looking for dates for next year.

We had a very accommodating stay. Plenty of room! Quiet area and close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of linens. Beds were comfortable. Nice outdoor area with a fire pit.

Great property

Spotless, great features including spaciousness, bedding and towels were plentiful and great quality. Kitchen had everything that you need for meal prep and serving. Outdoor fire pit and llighting were great. Comfortable and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay

Great house with a perfect location to a super cute New England Beach Town

This was a great house, it fit our family needs and then some. The house was clean, communication was prompt. The walking distance to town and the beach was key. We loved York Beach!

Great location to Short Sands Beach

We stayed here in June 2022 for a few days with temps in the 60s/70s. It was perfect beach weather. The house is about a 10 min walk down to Short Sands Beach and York Village. There is tons of shopping and restaurants to choose from. We walked to and from the beach every day with our 4 year old. I’m currently pregnant and it was still an easy walk. Since the weather was not too hot, we never had to turn on the AC. We kept the windows open and it was very comfortable during the day and at night. There is one bathroom which is connected to the master bedroom on the first floor. For anyone sleeping in the two bedrooms upstairs, it’s a little inconvenient at night to come downstairs to use the bathroom. There is private parking for 3 cars behind the house. The yard is shared with another house which I didn’t realize when booking. Another renter in another house would bring her dog outside since the yard was shared. We also had our dog with us and our dog doesn’t like other dogs. The yard is only partially fenced. Overall, it’s a great location for a beach getaway.
