We had a great stay here for our Yosemite trip. The home was extremely clean and very well organized — everything in the kitchen and throughout the house was clearly labeled, even the light switches, which made settling in really easy.What stood out most was how thoughtful the setup was for families. We traveled with a baby and brought most of our own gear, but the house already had things like a crib, high chair, and kid-friendly items available, which was a really nice touch.The home also felt very safe and well-prepared, with everything you’d want in case of an emergency, and it had a quiet, comfortable atmosphere overall.The layout of the house is great — it flows well and works perfectly for a family stay. We also appreciated the variety of games available, which made for some fun downtime.Even though we didn’t end up getting snow, it was awesome to see they had multiple sets of snowshoes available, which just shows how well-equipped the property is.Overall, a very comfortable, thoughtful, and well-run place to stay. We’d definitely come back.

Wonderful stay. Central location and great hosts. House as pictured, rustic shaker style. Very clean, all basic necessities present and well labeled. Holly provided excellent advice, and Jeff called to assist on our first day. Very personable couple. Would not hesitate to book one or both units again if we return with family.Park experience was wonderful. Got to see the ecosystem in sunshine, light rain and a wonderful dusting of snow on our last day. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, clean & comfortable home away from home! Well appointed with everything you need for a great vacation. We slept well in comfortable beds and enjoyed relaxing at the end of our days of exploring. One of the nicest homes we have rented. Excellent location for exploring Yosemite (no going back and forth to the park each day). Holly & Jeff were very responsive & helpful, and communication was excellent!

House is fantastic. Host/owner is responsive. Plenty of towels. Kitchen well equipped. Patio is lovely. The only thing you need to know is that Yosemite Valley where you access all the hiking is a 35 minute drive away on a winding road. Buy your groceries in Fresno before you head out! Otherwise you pay 3x the price at the very small grocery store in the park. There are NO restaurants in the park except 1 pizza joint with a line of 30 people.

We had a wonderful time at Royal Retreat in Yosemite. The location was perfect! We had all of the amenities we could have wanted. Holly and Jeff were amazingly helpful with lots of suggestions and answers to questions. They even noticed keys we left behind and immediately stepped up to get them shipped back to us. The three deer walking up the road were an added bonus. We would definitely recommend their home!

The home was amazing - though we spent most of our time in the park. I would recommend this home to anyone interested staying at Yosemite. It is close to the Yosemite Valley area which made moving in and out various locations was easy. It really makes going down to Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequioas very quick. Secluded setting and never heard any noise from surrounding properties. Saw some bears (momma and 2 babies) moving through the neighborhood which made for great photo opportunity. If we are ever lucky enough to make it back - I would definitely stay at this home again.

Wonderfvul digs. Evrything was perfect. As described. Everything was labeled , in place and clean. Comfortable furniture and one of the best organized and equipped kitchens I have seen. The only thing i would add would be a shower mat to the shower downstairs - a littler slippery there.While a ways from the valley floor. cooler at this location.

Beautiful mountain home

We loved this beautiful super clean home. We especially appreciated the easy access from the parking to the door, and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. The owners take pride in their home and it had what looked like new carpet, which was very nice. It was completely equipped with everything you could possibly want from a coffee maker to a crockpot, and there were labels on everything to help you navigate. The location was quiet, with a charming balcony amid the trees. Access to the valley took 30 minutes.The only reason for the 4 stars is that the beds are not comfortable. They are hard and lumpy. I don’t think I’m being overly picky here, since last Summer I toured Scandinavia, sleeping in a variety of moderately priced hotels and private homes, and had no complaints about the beds. This is an easy fix which will bring the bedding up to the high standards of the rest of the home. Other than that we had a great time.

Perfect first time!

Holy is amazing at communicating and made the check in process easy. The house is beautiful and clean! We were sad we were only there to spend one night but we are so happy we got to explore Yosemite and looking forward to staying there in the future!

Great Cozy home with everything you need

The home and hosts were excellent. The area was quiet and offers a great view of the trees and surrounding nature. The best part of the home was the parking right at the front door, with no stairs. This was vitally important as we visited in Winter and there was snow on the ground. The inside of the home was great with a gas fireplace and a nice balcony. the house was spacious with a kitchen which was well stocked with pots and pans, which is not a guarantee in some rentals. I honestly cannot think of anything we required that this house did not have. I would highly recommend this home if you plan on visiting Yosemite. I will stay here if available during my next trip to Yosemite.

A Royal Stay for Your Yosemite Stay

We loved staying at Royal Retreat! The unit was very clean and everything was as pictured and described. Very comfortable and spacious for our family of four. We enjoyed spending time playing their multiple board games, watching movies, cozying up by the fireplace . The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need from your basics to a griddle, crock pot and baking sheets. My husband enjoyed cooking a couple of meals on the grill. The views from both downstairs and upstairs are spectacular, all the windows make the unit bright and very scenic.The location is perfect for an every day drive to the Valley or to explore the South side of Yosemite.I was concerned with privacy do the unit below, but in our five night stay we never heard or encountered the guests staying there, all we noticed was their car parked in their designated spot away from Royal retreat. We cannot wait ro come back and stay at Royal Retreat!
