This property was amazing with the exception of the cleanliness of the bathrooms and beds. When we arrived it was clear that none of the sheets had been changed (there was hair on all the pillows!) Additonally, there were hairs in the shower and on the sinks. I messaged Jessica the property manager and she said that she would provide a full refund if the cleaning fee which I appreciated, however it has now been a month since our stay and we still have not received our refund. This house has all the potential, it just needs to be properly managed.

Good: The location is convenient — about a 20–30 minute drive to Yosemite Village, which made accessing the park relatively easy. Neutral: There isn’t much to do in the surrounding area outside of house itself, so plan accordingly if you're hoping to explore nearby attractions. Bad: Communication with the host was very poor. The property was booked through Experian but listed under Vrbo. According to the booking instructions, I was supposed to receive an email with check-in details and other important information, but no such email ever arrived. The check-in instructions were finally sent the morning of our arrival while we were already on the road, forcing us to stop mid-drive just to check if any information had come through. Aside from the entry code, no details about the property were shared in advance. On the third night, the power and water went out around 6:00 PM. I tried contacting the host immediately but didn’t get a response until after 9:00 PM. Even after getting in touch, there was no alternative solution offered, and the host did not provide basics like flashlights or emergency guidance. Power and water were still not restored by the time we left the next morning. Overall: The location worked for visiting Yosemite, but the lack of communication, poor handling of a utility outage, and absence of basic support made for a very frustrating and disappointing experience with the host. I would not stay here again.

The cabin was great and in a nice location. Very quiet and remote. Kitchen nicely stocked. Absolutely everything you need is here including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. My husband and I would consider staying here again. The hot tub is not operating and this should be noted on the listing.

The location is terrific and a quick drive to Yosemite Valley. There are a few gravel roads nearby to walk on, but no real trails nearby. Seems like the hot tub is not available to guests and the BBQ was without propane. But the beds were terrific and the appliances worked. It is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and artsy decor; very family friendly. Bring your own paper towels and napkins altho toilet paper was plentiful. Overall, we would book them again.

Great home, great location, but challenges with property manager.

Overall, the home is exactly as advertised, is well stocked, and was plenty of room for my family group (4 adults 3 kids) who was visiting Yosemite for two nights. The location absolutely can't be beat, as it is located within the Yosemite Park boundary and it is just a short 15 min. drive down to Yosemite Valley. The area surrounding Foresta is very beautiful, and the house is located in a very quiet neighborhood with only a handful of other houses/camps. It was so peaceful and relaxing and there is great hiking straight from the house. The only issue with the listing was with the hot tub which was not working. This may have been a seasonal thing; however, it looked completely out of commission which was disappointing.A few issues to note. Check-in instructions came very late. Also, upon arrival the home had not been cleaned (beds were stripped, dirty bathrooms, towels/sheets needed to be watched, etc.). The property manager did reach out to explain that there was a mix up of dates with their cleaning service and did offer to have the cleaners come out the next day and also to refund the cleaning fee and half of the first night's charge. The house was cleaned the next day; however, she never followed through with the refund even after promising it again the week following our check-out and is now unresponsive to further messages. So, overall would recommend the home for a Yosemite stay, but beware of possible issues with the property management.
Just a short drive to Yosemite Valley!
Area around Foresta is very beautiful, we enjoyed morning hikes from the house.
The house is set in a quiet forested neighborhood.

Beautiful home and location inside Yosemite!

We spent the last 5 days at this beautiful Foresta home with 2 bedrooms -- one with a queen full size futon, and one with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom. Everything was as advertised. We couldn't use the hot tub as it's closed Nov-May as to avoid frozen pipes, but we would love to return again, either in winter or summer! Being 20 minutes from the Yosemite valley floor (Bridevail, etc.) was truly wonderful. We woke up to deer in our backyard twice. :)

Peaceful Sanctuary

The beautiful home is nestled in the Yosemite National Park in Foresta ( a short 25 minutes to the Yosemite Valley and Village!). My family and I had all the comforts of home! The home has gorgeous views looking out into the pine forest! All the basic necessities were provided for us; beds made up with soft linens and down blankets, bath towels and soaps for laundry, including washer and dryer! Our host, Jessica Chaney was very gracious and responded to my questions promptly! My family and I highly recommend the property for a great and memorable family vacation!

Perfect quiet location within the park. Easy to drive to and from and throughout the park. Views are beautiful from the rear/deck and private. Home is tastefully appointed and very cozy and homey. Only issue we had was getting spa to heat. Otherwise fabulous stay.

Wonderful location and a nice house. Great for 4 adults and two small kids. Plenty of sleeping locations and blankets and pillows. Property was well stocked. House had a few small problems, but nothing major. Hot tub was locked.

Wonderful!

This is a beautiful home in a great location. The home is cozy and has everything you need, while the large deck is great for dinners and star gazing. We loved the window wall. We initially had a bit of trouble getting in touch with the property owner/manager to get answers to a couple of questions we had, but once we were put in touch they were very kind and helpful. We were disappointed to learn that the hot tub is not usable, but we enjoyed our stay regardless.

Really only problem was initially had tv issues. The book says turn it on and enjoy but it wasnt quite that easy. Owner was responsive. Otherwise only problem was in the kitchen. Weirdly, there were no paper towels or sponges. Because a grocery store was more than 30 minutes away, this omission was a bit challenging. Otherwise, lovely and comfy in a great location. So nice that we didn’t have to leave and re-enter the park.

We loved our stay at The Ahweanee. The cabin is located in a beautiful spot with amazing views from the deck. What made our stay more special was how well it is stocked for a family with a good washer and dryer, grill, oven and a big fridge along with central cooling and wifi! All meals we cooked easily from home. We slept so well and were at Yosemite village in 15 minutes by car. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Yosemite getaway

This place is perfectly located for a visit in Yosemite! We were in the valley within 20 minutes and we loved that we could get away from the crowds easily. The house was perfect for two couples. It was comfortable and unlike many rentals we've stayed in, this place was well stocked with everything we needed. If I had one wish, it would be that the hot tub needs to be turned up higher. It's currently maxed at 100 and having a spa of my own, 103 is optimal especially after a 16-mile hike in Yosemite. Other than that, this place has everything we wanted/needed. We'll definitely come back!

Great location and comfortable but some issues

We had a good stay here once we were able to get into the house--the message we received with check-in information provided both the wrong house number and wrong door code. We could not reach the property manager to get the correct code (granted, we arrived at around 11pm and VRBO was able to eventually reach them), but fortunately we guessed the correct code. The wifi also went out completely 2 days into our stay. The house did have everything we needed and proximity to the valley was great.
