Grand Riviera Princess - All Inclusive

4/10 Poor

"(My third time at this resort). CONS: * Beach maintenance was disappointing. While seaweed in the ocean is unavoidable, large piles were left on the beach for days, creating a strong rotten-egg odor that occasionally reached the pool areas. Nearby resorts regularly cleared their beaches with tractors, but this resort appeared to make no effort to remove the accumulated seaweed. * The property declined to provide the VIP perk that Expedia advertised in our price (free massage for 2). I asked 3 different staff members and they all basically said “We don’t do that. Figure it out with Expedia. Not our problem.” * The recent renovation looks appealing in photos but was poorly executed in person. Uneven paint, misaligned tiles, and other finishing issues made many areas feel cheaply remodeled. * Pool activities - mediocre. PROS: * Great food with good variety and several new restaurants offering diverse menus. * New snack area - a convenient addition for quick bites throughout the day. * The updated towel policy is a major improvement. No more towel cards or trips to the front desk if towels are lost. Guests can simply grab fresh towels as needed. * Pools were clean and maintained at a comfortable temperature. * Poolside cabanas were a great feature. * Their gym is great! * The new kids’ area and water slides were a fantastic addition, giving children their own space and making the main pool and bar areas much quieter and more relaxing than during our previous visits."

"I wanted Ocean view room, being really skeptical, asked front desk guy Jesus for advice, since It was dark when I arrived and couldn't see outside, I was just hoping to get room with good ocean view, and not regret it. but, when I opned the Curtains the next day it was beautiful, best ever, no regrets, beside the view all the staff was nice, helpfull, also gave good direction to all the other hotels I could of visit for lunch, and good food as well, One of the best Vacation"

Barceló Maya Caribe - All Inclusive

"Everything about the hotel was great, except for some of the guests. We stayed there for almost two weeks, and on the weekends there was a group of guests (most likely locals) who were very loud and inconsiderate. On Saturdays and Sundays, they would bring their own loudspeakers and play extremely loud, annoying music in the silent pool area. They were also noisy late at night, and on two occasions we were woken up around 2 a.m. by them shouting and making noise in the hallways. In addition, they were quite rude. On one occasion, they moved our towels and belongings from our pool chairs and took the seats while we were in the pool, as if nothing had happened. Despite this, we had a wonderful stay and would still recommend the hotel. The property, staff, and facilities were excellent. I only hope that management addresses the issue of guests bringing their own speakers and enforces the rules in quiet areas more strictly to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone."

Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa All Inclusive

"Everything was perfect. Beautiful gorgeous Pool and beach. Huge and clean pool and huge beautiful beach full of Palm trees, countless seating and the family selection with cushioned seats, so many cabanas and hammocks and spectacular ocean view. The seaweed might be present but the beach is still beautiful and certain areas got clear and we were able to go in. Great services by pool, restaurants and all over. What great hard working staff who go above and beyond to comfort and pamper us. Great restaurants with great service and amazing food. Events are amazing. Beautiful rooms in jungle surrounding areas, so tropical with tropical small animals walking near which kids love to see and are amazed. If you want a real tropical paradise get away for a family ultimate experience, grand Palladium Kantenah family selection has me won. WE SHALL RETURN TO THIS PARADISE!"

6/10 Okay

"The room was clean, everything physically was pretty. The pools and waterside looked nice. There was activities for kids. The staff was so weird. They seemed annoyed for even ordering part of the all-inclusive menu or drinks. Different staff gave different information about the things we asked, there was no consistency in their answers. The “snack bar” is a sports bar and the food was terrible while the lady along with some of the other employees that were there at nights serving 6/01/2026 - 6/03/2026 gave the worst service I’ve ever seen. Never again."
