"(My third time at this resort). CONS: * Beach maintenance was disappointing. While seaweed in the ocean is unavoidable, large piles were left on the beach for days, creating a strong rotten-egg odor that occasionally reached the pool areas. Nearby resorts regularly cleared their beaches with tractors, but this resort appeared to make no effort to remove the accumulated seaweed. * The property declined to provide the VIP perk that Expedia advertised in our price (free massage for 2). I asked 3 different staff members and they all basically said “We don’t do that. Figure it out with Expedia. Not our problem.” * The recent renovation looks appealing in photos but was poorly executed in person. Uneven paint, misaligned tiles, and other finishing issues made many areas feel cheaply remodeled. * Pool activities - mediocre. PROS: * Great food with good variety and several new restaurants offering diverse menus. * New snack area - a convenient addition for quick bites throughout the day. * The updated towel policy is a major improvement. No more towel cards or trips to the front desk if towels are lost. Guests can simply grab fresh towels as needed. * Pools were clean and maintained at a comfortable temperature. * Poolside cabanas were a great feature. * Their gym is great! * The new kids’ area and water slides were a fantastic addition, giving children their own space and making the main pool and bar areas much quieter and more relaxing than during our previous visits."
