Great location but that is the only good thing!

We stayed here as we were going on a G adventures tour of china. We checked in for an extra night before the tour began. We were put in a room on the 6th floor. The room smelt of smoke even though it was non smoking and the toilet also smelt. During the night building work was taking place on a building opposite so we got very little sleep plus the beds were very hard (although this is the case with most hotels in China!). In the morning as we were getting ready to check in again with the group tour we saw a large cockroach in our room! Luckily when we checked in with the group tour booking we were placed on floor 14. The room and bathroom smelt a lot better and was much cleaner! We also tried the breakfast buffet but it was not good for western style food. Would recommend going somewhere else instead! Would not stay here again!

Good hotel if planning to be out a lot

I am a single, mid-20s woman who was traveling to tour Beijing. I enjoyed my stay at the Chongwenmen hotel - it is super convenient to the subway station, which connects to most major sights within 30 minutes. It is close to a supermarket (for snacks) and restaurants, as well as a hospital (in case of emergencies!). There wasn't much if you wanted to stay at the hotel during the day, but was perfect for cleaning up and sleeping each night!

ChongWenMen is Average

I have stay at this property many times of the past six years. It is an average 3-Star hotel that is a bit pricey for what you get and lacking in some areas. The staff is okay, but not very helpful when there is a problem. They tend to blame the customer and act like it's no big deal. Some of the rooms have mold on the ceilings from water issues. Other rooms have undergone renovations. Other rooms smell of sewer gases due to poor plumbing and venting of pipes.

chambre confortable dans un hotel bien placé

Très bon emplacement, hôtel très propre. On peut toutefois regretter la lenteur de la prise en charge à la réception, le non fonctionnement d'internet dans la chambre et le fonctonnement très difficile (lenteur++) d''internet dans le hall.

전반적 양호

위치는 2호선과 5호선이 만나는 총원먼 역 바로 옆이어서 이동이 편리하였고, 호텔에서 길 하나 건너면 신세계 백화점이 있고, 그 지하에 수퍼마켓이 있어서 편리하였음. 호텔 자체적으로도 깨끗한 편이었음. 프론트 직원이 영어는 잘 못함. 전반적으로 가격대비 만족함.

Correcte mais échanges compliqués peu de membres du personnel parlent anglais. Cependant le prix des chambres est très attractif.

とても満足

地下鉄の駅を出ると目の前にあったので、迷うこともなく大変便利でした。ただ、大きなスーツケースの場合、地下から地上に上がる際エスカレーター、エレベーターが無いので階段が少々大変です。 ホテルのスタッフはとても親切で、地図を広げ行き先を尋ねると、ロビーにいたスタッフ全員が集まって詳しく教えてくれました。その日はたまたまキングサイズベッドの部屋が無かったとのことで、同料金でセミスイートにグレードアップしてもらえました。北京に行ったらまた泊まりたいホテルです。

Bien situé ( à 50m d'une station de métro ) connexion simple et rapide avec airport express train. Réception / accueil médiocre, impersonnel mais efficace et rapide. Chambre de taille modeste mais propre et confortable. Insonorisation par rapport à l'extérieur insuffisante même si chambre située côté le plus calme. Eviter celles donnant sur rue !!! Internet payant (20 Y / jour) mais connexion sans problème...

The only thing bad is the bathroom

The location of the hotel is great. I believe the 2 and the 5 train (To Chong Wen Men station) go to the hotel. It's a good hotel just for sleep. The only thing bad is the bathroom. The bathtub leaks water all over the floor, so by the time I am done...the floor is wet.

Det är ett fint hotel som ligger mycket centralt Fina bekväma rum OBS stenhård säng. Det är det nog på alla hotel i Kina.Mariot har likadana Men tyvärr är personalen väldigt otrevliga/ovilliga att hjälpa till .

Chongwenmen Hotel

Nice location. It was okay, but I would have preferred one large bed instead of two single beds. The room was tidy, and the facilities were nice. I did use the self-service laundry from time to time, and that was nice. I like the Chongwenmen area because it is near the local shops and other places including the historic Roman Catholich church at Dongjiaominxiang, at the edge of the DongFeng district. I used the gym facilities too. Not bad. Simple hotel type gym. I'd stay again.

Nice Hotel, good location

The front desk was polite and spoke some English. Room was clean and nice. Nice place to stay. Near a couple malls and feet from the subway station. Decent location. Plus, 15 minutes of free internet in the Business Center everyday.

Good location but poor service!

When we reached the hotel it was nearly mid night. Unfortunately no one was there to recieve us. Then a girl came and asked for our passports and other documents to make cpoy for them. She took long time and we had to wait in front of the lobby holding my 1 year old sleeping baby. Then she said there is no hot water in the bathroom but they will fix it tomorrow. The room was very tiny and clod. The toilet stinked like urine. The next morning they couldn't say anything about hot water. Three staffs in the front desk were too busy with something else and didn't talk with us properly. When we asked for the wifi connection they kept us waiting in the lobby for 10 min. Finally we checked out and cancelled our next six nights booking. They didn't give any money back.
