Pool out of service, spa out of service, ice machine out of order, bathtub drain would not drain after shower, missing paint on hallway walls, no soap for washing hands at sink (we asked at the front desk and they had none.) Very limited breakfast choices.

Staff were great ! And also deeply sympathetic to the fact that this location is fairly run down, with broken ice machine, broken pool and hottub, no real breakfast options. Lots of stains on the carpets, run down overall, clogged sinks, scratchy towels….

The room was very dirty. Popcorn was left scattered next to the bed. The towels had stains. The two ice machines were out of service, and the pool and hot tub were not serviced. Everything was disappointing. I will not stay here again.

1. Generally run down 2. Pool closed (doesn’t look to be opening any time soon) 3. Staff was decently friendly 4. Carpet in room had gooey looking stains 5. Outlet in bathroom didn’t work and not properly attached to the wall 6. Mattress placed on top of old, fraying, exposed box spring (no bedding covering it). 7. There was some kind of loud chirping insect in the room (cricket?) that began at lights out. I know times are tough but this place needs a complete remodel or they need to decrease their price to stay. The overall rating of “8” is pretty misleading.

Check-in not friendly at all. Pool & hot tub closed for “maintenance” but it seems like it’s been that way for a long time. No ice machines Hallways were dirty & filled with bedding when we arrived. The room smelled bad, was not clean nor maintained. Hair on the bathroom floor, cracked window, tv didn’t work, shower curtain was barely hanging on. Stay elsewhere

I checked into this hotel and had to ask to switch rooms to a very strong musty wet odor and dirty room. The second room was even worse. The floor was filthy the bedding was dirty. There was an outlet that was completely brown in filth. The drywall from walls were crumbling in spots stains all over the walls as well. The deadbolt did not work and the door also didn’t properly latch. I would advise not to stay at this property the pictures are nothing what the hotel looks like. It’s very worn down and dirty and needs to be completely renovated. The pool and hot tub have been down for quite awhile as well as the Ice machine. There is not a decent breakfast either they serve a grab and go breakfast. I had to fight to get a refund for the second night and a partial refund for the first night.

Will not be returning to this hotel. The hot tub pool and ice machine broken. TV in my room doesn’t work. They said when I checked in they didn’t get the payment from Expedia and actually called me in my room and asked me to call Expedia to get payment. Like isn’t that your job?!

Property needs some TLC. The doors covering the refrigerator and the microwave need touch up. Poor excuse for breakfast. Never have we been disappointed with the breakfast at a Country Inn and Suites until this one.

This place is very poorly maintained! The staff were nice and seem to try. The pool and hot tub looked like they were out of service for a while. No breakfast served. We had to be moved from our first room due to plumbing problems only to have plumbing problems that we just endured in the second.

Property needs updating. Old and worn out carpet in my room. Ice machine didn't work. Had to hold down toilet for awhile before it would flush . Towels weren't soft at all but it was clean and the front desk staff was very pleasant and let me have a late check out which I appreciated

Worst experience at a Country Inn & Suites

Country Inn & Suites has always been a pretty good bet when traveling. Buildings are usually updated and has pretty good amenities. Staff is always been friendly and courteous and can get you what you need. That is not what you're going to get at this property. First off we booked the property and it was listed with the pool and hot tub. This is one of the reasons why we picked the property. Drove 3 hours to get there and the pool and hot tub or clothes for maintenance. That's fine, except they're not even working on it it's half full and they just don't want to have it open. Their answer is you could go to the hotel across the street. We have been traveling for hours and we're just done so we decide to stay. Get to our room unpack our stuff, go down to get ice and no ice in the entire Hotel. Not to mention that the lobby is kind of filthy trash cans are overflowing. Whole Lobby smells very bad like some kind of weird Indian food with cabbage. Come to the next morning to go for the free breakfast. And you get sour orange juice and outdated rolls. Someone really needs to take better care of this property.

The bed was lumpy, pillows were flat and terrible. The pool, hot tub, and ice machine was out of service. The phone in my room did work so I had to call the front desk from my phone when the smoke detector in my room was chirping at 4:00am! It was not a good experience.

Pool, hot tub and ice machienes were all broken, no extra pillows available. The bath tub surround was covered in mold, the shower head was hanging out of the wall by a giant hole in the sheet rock and the shower head leaked so bad it was shooting water at the sheet rock. Building was in very poor condition.

Nothing clean, updated or works. right away walking in you see a sign that says no pool, no hot tub and no ice machines work. cracks in walls, painted over damage and very poor conditions.

Never again!

Walked into hotel and saw a sign that said “pool, hot tub and ice machine down until further notice” that was our main reason for staying there! Then we wanted to sit outside the old owners had a beautiful propane firepit. The lady at the desk sadly didn’t speak very fluent English she didn’t understand firepit. Check into our room after being told that “Expedia frauded us” and our reservations were not valid! I’ve been using Hotels.com for years and have had good luck. So we paid privately. Walk into a room and after over 90 minutes of staff and my partner trying to turn on tv…the worker was on his phone most of this time…we were given a new room. The bathtub was filthy so we chose not to shower. The Perks was that they attempted to accommodate the television part and are pet friendly but I know we won’t be staying there again! This used to be our go-to in Grand Rapids, MN. The property is poorly taken care of, lawn unkempt, parking lot needs work. Sad to see such a formerly nice hotel go to crap like this one did.
