I hadn't been back to the Green Man for 35 years and was so happy to see it had the same traits still, of a great Herefordshire country pub. We stayed 2 nights and the service provided by all of the staff was brilliant and big shout goes out to everyone, but especially Jen who checked us in, and showed us to our room, and Poppy who served us in the restaurant. The room was very nicely appointed, clean and quiet and we can thoroughly recommend the Green Man for a stay while exploring Hereford or the wider are. Thankyou All at the Green Man.

The whole place oozes character befitting its five hundred plus years of heritage. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the building and the area. The food is excellent and the bar area is properly traditional, down to the fireplace.

The room was clean and comfortable, rather warm in the exceptionally hot weather, though a fan is provided. The staff are are all hard working and friendly, especially Amanda with her cheery welcoming personality at breakfast. Food is good and the bar is well stocked. We enjoyed our stay.

Unusual multi-layer room with two televisions. Quirky ensuite shower room with sink in main room. This may not be a typical room. Unable to comment on their food, as we didn't have any meals there. The main Pub building is characterful with a long history. Otherwise, Staff very helpful and the Green Man has a large car park.

A one night stay very warm welcome and shown to our room. Excellent evening meal thoroughly enjoyed the roast and the beetroot wellington. The room was nice and a comfortable bed in room 1. We had a, tapping noise all night from the pipe work which unfortunately impacted our nights sleep reported to reception on our departure I hope it's resolved before the next guest. We'd stay again.

We stayed at The Green Man after a half day canoeing on the Wye at Symonds Yat. Great location. Check in was really easy and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The room was great , bed was comfy and had an iron, tea/coffee making facilities with a good range of tea/hot chocolate. Parking is aplenty and we had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent - all four of us cleaned our plates and were really happy with what we ordered. We didn’t have breakfast but can imagine it would be good based on what the dinner was like. Would recommend staying here as it also is full of charm with little nods to its heritage.

Great location and rooms. The bar area / breakfast area is really special. A great breakfast but could do with the option of being able to pay for better coffee as an option. Will definitely stay again.

Evening meals were good. Garden was also pleasant. A lot of traffic noise especially with windows open in the hot weather. Timing of breakfasts poor especially at weekends; surely don't have to have last orders at 9.30am. Appeared under-staffed with long delays ordering drinks at the bar

The parking is good. Staff very helpful. The food is decent. Our room was of a good size and the stand alone shower was great. The bath not so. The bath taps were complicated to use and if you are not careful you could flood the bathroom by turning on the shower instead the bath tap. The mixer element of the bath tap was broken so when I tried to use it I cut my finger. The room had an ultra bright security light, outside, on all night over our window and as it was a very hot night the window was open with the blackout blind up so the room was fully lite up all night. Very little sleep was had

A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.
