We just completed an entirely fantastic visit to this beautiful bungalow. We stayed for a little over 2 months and our hosts were absolutely wonderful. This home has everything and then some. Every time we turned around we discovered another extra feature. Communication, location, and cleanliness were all excellent features. We thoroughly loved our stay.

A stay we’ll remember for the rest of our lives! Lived here for 4 months during a home renovation, and the hosts made us feel so comfortable that it was almost hard to move home! Everything was premium and top notch, from the sheets to the back patio. A must pick for long stays!

Our month stay at the cozy cottage was just that. Wonderful modernized historic bungalow in the Heights with everything you might need. The kitchen was topnotch with new appliances and cookware that this foodie sincerely appreciated. Beds were comfortable with an abundance of pillows and throws. The outdoor space was private and well equipped. We had our furbaby in tow and the area was perfect for evening walks and exercise.The host Jonathan was very thoughtful and welcoming and easily accessible with information and recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.Thanks again Jonathan

Awesome location!

Truly enjoyed my stay here! Location, location location, was the best! The house is so quaint & cozy. The communication with the owner was prompt, which i really appreciated. Will stay here again.

Great Location

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was extremely comfortable and the host was amazing. We really enjoyed the access to amenities. The neighborhood is a great place to walk, and if you like to get out, you can easily walk to for a meal or just take a stroll through the neighborhood.

Will book again when we go back!

The owner was extremely easy to get ahold of, communicate with and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect! I travel often and have stayed at many places but this home was my favorite! I had an extensive surgery while I was there and had to walk daily - the neighborhood is safe and beautiful for walks! You will love this Houston home!

Charming little bungalow

This was a charming little house in the beautiful Heights neighborhood of Houston. It was tucked on a quite little street, but a short hop to lots of restaurants on White Oak street including an awesome gelato place. Owner was really responsive and the kitchen was well stocked.

A total gem!

This place is settled perfectly in a beautiful neighborhood! So much private outdoor space that my dogs absolutely loved! The interior is decorated and tech wired phenomenally! The entire stay was so homey and comfortable, we didn’t want to leave! Hosts are amazing and provide all the necessities plus some! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The fur babies loved it as did the human guests!

Perfect home away from home!

We had a wonderful time staying in Gingerbread Casa over the holidays, for a full 2 months. Our hosts couldn't have been more gracious and helpful, and the house itself is equipped with all anyone could need even for such a lengthy stay. The location is ideal, in the midst of the charming and historic Woodland Heights area, within easy walking distance of dozens of shops, restaurants, parks, and other attractions, and just a short drive to downtown and Houston's wonderful museums. We plan on returning soon and can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Great location, cute house!

House was great. The location was perfect, the beds were comfortable- even the foldout in the living room, and the house had all the amenities that we needed. Jonathan has a great place and was very friendly and available for any questions we had. The TV set up was a bit confusing, but once we figured it out, we didn't have any further issues. Overall- highly recommended.

Perfect Little Bungalow!

Jonathon is a very gracious host. Anything you need or have questions about he is immediately available. We needed a place to stay for a month when our house sold quickly. This was a perfect interim space to stay. Great location with easy access to freeway and walkable to the park. It is very dog friendly and has a great front patio. We can't thank Jonathon enough for being so wonderful!

Houston Bungalow Bliss

The Comfy & Quiet Bungalow was delightful! My husband and I stayed for a month. The neighborhood is super quiet and yet walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. the neighborhood has lots of trees and sidewalks good for strolling or walking a dog. The home is well appointed with everything you could need in the kitchen and convenient touches throughout such as places to hang coats, towels, mobile device chargers and an in home stereo system. The outdoor space is super good too--a private back deck/patio with a gas grill, fire pit and large patio table for dining. The home also has a private side yard with cafe tables. The beds were very comfy. There was a business nook in the kitchen and I used it almost every day to work from home. Last, but not least, our hosts were super friendly and very responsive to any questions we had. We have stayed in 3 VRBOs in Houston and this is home is our favorite. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent Experience

This property is within a nice safe neighborhood, this is our first experience with using VBRO and we not have been more pleased. We had just a couple of questions and the manager responded immediately. If you need to travel to Houston we would highly recommend this property. It was within walking distance of a store and coffee shop and the area itself had many interesting individually owned restaurants. It was within a couple of miles of downtown. When we return to Houston we will check to see if this property is available. Felt like home away from home with so many amenities including a full kitchen washer and dryer and anything you could ever need. Highly recommend.

The perfect home away from home!

This wonderful home was perfect for my stay in Houston. The Heights is a great area, and this home is in the perfect neighborhood. The house is very clean, well stocked with necessities, has a beautiful backyard and front porch and side porch areas. I loved the full sized kitchen with wonderful appliances. The technology in the home is very current. There are at least 2 separate work areas, one with a monitor and printer. Fortunately, the owner of the home lives close by if something comes up. Jonathan is a great communicator, as well as being extremely kind and a dog whisperer! The neighbors are very hospitable, as well. Parking is in front of the house, but the neighbors look out for each other and welcome you to park in front of their homes, if needed. I would absolutely recommend staying in this home and I hope to again the next time I visit.

Wonderful house, great location!

We had a great stay at this house! Kitchen had everything needed for cooking in. King bed was very comfy, and we enjoyed the front porch, back patio, and quiet, walkable, dog friendly neighborhood. Location is convenient to shopping, restaurants and many other Houston destinations. Jonathan is very responsive and accommodating. Really enjoyed the holiday lights all over the neighborhood! All you could possibly need for an extended stay

My family and I stayed here for two months while our home renovation project finished up and it is well stocked with everything you might need! Jonathan was an excellent host - prompt at answering questions about the house! Located in the best neighborhood in the heights, we enjoyed our walks to nearby coffee shops and green spaces for kids to run around! Neighbors are so friendly too! Thank you Jonathan!

Long-term stay

Stayed at Jonathon’s place for a 3 month travel nurse contract with a fellow nurse. It was very easy to make ourselves feel at home and the neighbor was such a great location. We had a couple of things pop up with the house (nothing crisis just small things) and the guys were very helpful and responsive in getting it fixed and sorted out! HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Wonderful rental

Lovely comfortable home with many extra appointments that made our stay really pleasant. The neighborhood was delightful, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Jonathan was an excellent communicator, always ready to respond to any questions we had. Great internet and state of the art technology throughout the house. We highly recommend this VRBO and would stay again if we are in the area.

Excellent hospitality

The location was perfect, but Jonathan was sooooo welcoming, helpful, and nice!! Probably one of the best hospitalities i’ve had with vacation rentals. He was so nice about putting bikes together for my family and I, he made sure our stay was clean & sanitize due to COVID, and he was always a text/phone call away - location was also perfect at Houston’s family friendly neighborhood Heights area

Great location

Place was perfect for our 6 week stay with two dogs. Close to everything. Great AC for Houston summer and nice swing on front porch. Property owners were the best. Would have stayed longer if it was not booked at end of our period.
