2/10
We stayed at Jinja Nile Resort in June 2025 with a team of 30 international humanitarian volunteers. At 6:00 AM one morning, a hotel security guard escorted an intoxicated woman dressed in black lace to our private cabin and persistently knocked on our door for almost 30 minutes. We feared for our safety. The hotel later claimed this was a “mistaken room” and that some guests “request these girls.”
Despite multiple requests, we never heard from the General Manager. Only a Food & Beverage Manager responded—offering a mere $40 discount for what was an extremely disturbing and dangerous incident. With 10 of our guests booked through Expedia, this lack of accountability is unacceptable.
This property is not safe. The hotel’s handling of the situation was dismissive and alarming. We have formally requested Expedia to investigate what appears to be ongoing illegal activity and disregard for guest safety.
