This resort is feeling very tired. Service was generally good, occasionally inconsistent.
Room was spacious & quiet, but not in the best condition, although the bathroom was very clean (poor lighting, but clean). Cleaning occurred very late in the day for our room & turn down service was inconsistent. Amenities in the room were good. Flip flops & slippers were nice.
Had planned to use spa services, but the prices for services were outrageous.
At booking not advised we would be have access to both pools (the family pool was the only one open for our use) the more quiet ocean wing pool was only for club members???) pools was busy with lots of children. It would have been nice to have access to the more quiet adult ocean wing pool.
Beach was wide and usually empty. Please be conscious of the sand fleas, they are really bad, make sure your insect spray is effective. The trash on beach to the left of the resort is bad…really bad. You cannot take a walk on the paths in the reserve without an escort and you can’t plan to take a shortened walk that is not part of an organized longer group walk.
Buffet meals part of the all-inclusive, while extensive in choice, were not particularly tasty. Seafood buffet was particularly disappointing as far as quality and weirdly there was almost no choices for someone who doesn’t eat seafood. Best meal was an afternnoon tea served at the lobby lounge.
Over all this resort felt geared to families/large groups. Not 5/4 star, very mediocre
