Booked a double room but the only option at check in was a single. The room was over the bar next door so it was very noisy until late. On the plus side the room was clean & the (single) bed was comfortable, & the towels lovely & soft.

Helpful staff, great breakfast and a central location in Ryde are the plus points that make up for the fact this is now a pretty tired hotel.

This is a hotel in need of a star … a star makeover and general upkeep and building works ! The Staff are wonderful and helpful. Just as well because a vigorous opening of a window might see it crashing onto the road . Although as clean as the staff can do it’s got gaps / damp / loose fittings / signs of doors being forced/general lack of repair/ general lack of money and care . Again the young staff are great and really try. It could be smart and have real unique feel not downtrodden neglect Come on management, sort it out Retired Builder . Challenge if you want !!

This Is a Reasonably Priced Hotel with a Chilled, Relaxed Atmosphere a Nice Bar with some Different Rooms to Relax in and an Outside seating area - Set in the Heart of Ryde with Pubs Bars and Restaurants all within walking distance - the beach and the Esplanade is at the bottom of the Road and you can access much of the Island from this place either by Taxi Bus or Driving. the Staff was Really Friendly + welcoming - the only thing is some of the furniture and carpets you can see is either slightly Old and Worn/ Needs to have a Deep Clean but.... besides that the place was v. good - i would defo go again! Thumbs up from me :)

The room was clean and tidy, but needed redecorating, as did the whole hotel. The staff were very good, but the bar had run out of lager. One customer had ordered a pizza, and got someone else's meal, and then his pizza never showed up.

The location is very convenient, 10-15 mins to the ferry, 3 mins to the nearest bus stop. The staff is very helpful, I was able to leave my luggage after check out for a few hours. However the hotel is located in an old building and the amenities are quite dated. The windows are single glazed and I had difficulty opening and closing them.

This is very run down, brilliant location but a tired hotel. I had no kettle in my room despite having tea coffee and mugs, this was rectified once I brought it up. The staff are fantastic, the hotel itself is just very tired.

Yelf's Hotel is right in the heart of Ryde, 1st impressions are the whole place needs a refit on the inside and painting and maintenance on the outside, freyed carpets on the landings, poor decor once inside the room, ripped nets, very dated carpet only one opening window out of 3 in the bedroom, very worn out bath, shower button on the taps not staying up, rotten away tables at the back in the courtyard sorry but this is not a 3 star hotel, only saving grace was all the staff we met were lovely

Put up on top floor despite requesting lower floor due to mobility issues. Room was awful, furniture ancient and falling apart, stains on walls, room blinds had perished and several lights didn’t work. Absolutely awful stay.
