Joyful and Spacious 100 Year Old Adobe!

  • Casa Carreta is in a wonderful location! Just minutes to everything, elegance and history abound in this century old historic adobe! Santa Fe Plaza, Museums, Canyon Rd, tasty restaurants and shopping, all within a five to ten minute walk! Plenty of outdoor fun- the SF Ski Basin and hiking are a short drive up the mountain! Bringing Fido? Frank Ortiz dog park only a six minute drive! Great for couples, skiers, families, big groups and furry friends.

    There is plenty of parking for multiple cars as well as campers and RV's.

    Right downtown, Casa de Huerto is in walking distance to everything that you will want or need.

    While there is baseboard heating, there is no central AC. However, we have provided in every room AC units as well as fans.

    Please Note: Our Television DOES NOT have regular TV. There is one Smart TV so you can log into any of your favorite streaming services to watch. We also offer free wifi.

    QUICK NOTES ON BEHALF OF OUR FANTABULOUS CLEANING TEAM:

    We have a very small, but very mighty cleaning team.

    As a woman owned business, and a women run business, we will protect our employees and their time.

    Our cleaning team DOES NOT USE SCENT FREE DETERGENT. Please take that into consideration when booking.

    Our cleaning team will enter at 10:05 AM on day of checkout. Guests will be charged an initial $50 for any late check out after 10 AM and an additional $100 for every half hour our cleaning team must wait.

    Guests will also be charged $150 for attempted early check in. We value our employees and the incredible work they do (we know you will too, once your see how sparkling clean and neat our units are.). Please give them their space to do their job. Thanks!

A welcoming, comfortable and convenient place for a mother daughter trip! Plenty of room to enjoy breakfast or conversation and the rooms are decorated beautifully. This is an older property, so uneven floors and a quirky layout contributed to the overall charm. We loved it!

Great experience

Awesome location to explore Santa Fe. Close to many great restaurants, museums, shops and art. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much, very comfortable and relaxing.

Family Girls trip

Property was extremely clean, nicely decorated, and amply supplied. Location was great for our group to shop the Plaza, take stained glass class, venture to ojo caliente spa, and take in a flamenco dancing show.

Quick trip

We had some friends in town and needed the extra place so we booked the casita. It was nice we enjoyed our stay, also how spacious the place is.

Perfect for our stay

Clean and comfortable. The location is close to the Plaza and an easy walk. We would stay there again if in the area. A very nice condo.

Wonderful Stay

This is a great property! Has all the character of an older property with modern touches. Really a beautiful place with a fantastic location - we were right in the middle of everything.

Balloon Festival

It was awesome! Property was perfectly located with easy access to the Central Plaza. Super cool distinct bedrooms, lots of room and unique accommodations. Definitely will look to stay at property on our next visit.

Book club get-away

Lots of space to spread out, nice big kitchen, patio with table and chairs was a bonus, comfortable beds- all in all we were very pleased.The only suggestion would be working night lights-especially by bedroom steps.

College girlfriend reunion

Our group of four had a wonderful time. The unit was clean, spacious and allowed everyone their own generously sized bedroom. Just a short walk to Santa Fe’s main downtown attractions.

Cozy authentic home in great location

This was such a fun home. It was the perfect Santa Fe experience. The home was so cozy, well decorated and there was lots of space. We were able to easily walk to the plaza and we loved being in this space.

Wonderful weekend stay with family.

Santa Fe is one of my favorite places and our Vrbo could not have been better. We were within walking distance of the Plaza, restaurants and shopping. We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our Thanksgiving holiday.

Excellent setting for families!

This VRBO is spacious and comfortable. Plus, it's within walking distance of most of the museums and galleries of Santa Fe. The space provided lots of privacy for couples and a comfortable vacation for our two dogs. Highly recommended!

Soak in Santa Fe!

Convenient and comfortable, this adorable adobe house has been decorated with a lovely Santa Fe vibe. Walk to The Plaza, yummy restaurants, or stroll down to get a massage nearby. Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is close with fun galleries to visit nearby. A group of seven of us stayed here and would come again.

Great Location and Wonderful House

We enjoyed leaving the car behind and walking all over Santa Fe. The house was lovely and for these four friends, we each had our own bedroom! Very nice all around.

Escape from winter.

Location, location, location says it all! You can walk to the old plaza, museums, art galleries, small shops, restaurants etc. Enjoyed our stay, 3 couples, no kids! Lots of day trips for hiking. Highly recommend this place and Santa Fe in general.

Sister Trip

My 7sisters and I stayed her for a weekend. We loved it. Very spacious and just a short walk to the Plaza. At first it was a little hard to find, but we did. The only complaint or suggestion would be to change out the couches, they were not comfy. But other than that..it was a great place and would recommend it to a famil for w a getaway.

What a gem!

Casa Carreta was the perfect place to stay for our girls' trip! Everyone had a lovely bedroom that was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed meals in the dining room and the kitchen was spacious so that we could all cook together. We could spread out or all be together and we had an absolute ball! The location is also perfect, being just a block or so away from the visitor center. We saw galleries, we shopped, and ate out at cool spots. We loved it so much, we plan to come back next year!

The epitome of Santa Fe style. Very well equipped with everything you could use (except a dishwasher, which isnt much needed with the incredible dining everywhere in Santa Fe).

An Eclectic Retreat!

Five friends shared this charming rental for five days and found it was a perfect layout for such a gathering. The location is ideal, close to the Plaza, and nestled in a very quiet setting which allowed us to sit at the outdoor table and laugh with our evening wine! It is decorated with enough Santa Fe artifacts to remind you that you are on a special trip even when you are "home". It was spotlessly clean, the beds are very comfortable and it was blissfully quiet. We would go back for sure!

Great spot for a girls weekend!

Owner was great to work with. Felt like the property was substantially as described. -Bedrooms and layout is a bit wonky, but that was obvious in prior reviews. -Location in an "office park" is a bit weird but we always felt safe, parking was easy and it was an easy walk to the main part of Santa Fe, restaurants, etc. -Having the kitchen was a huge plus because we ate in all three mornings and could keep our wine cold!

Comfortable if mis-labeled

This property is spacious and well-appointed. Drawbacks are a dark living room with no windows, and bathrooms that aren't adjacent to bedrooms, making for potentially uncomfortable moments. The property is in a great location, an easy walk from the historic area. The label "century-old adobe" is misleading, however, as the property appears to have been one of a series of former office suites, which explains the odd layout. We did enjoy our time there and recommend it to others.
