“Our stay at the Grand Mansion in Aberdeen, Scotland was nothing short of a disaster. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an overwhelming scent from an incense diffuser, clearly meant to mask other less pleasant odors. The carpet was filthy, the walls were visibly dirty, and the linens and towels were used and unwashed. Things like wet wipes on the toilets were dried out and hadn’t been touched for years. “Very spacious, oven and dishwasher were great. We chose this specifically bc it had a laundry washer. Being from the US, just assumed it meant there was a dryer also (my mistake!). But there is a clothes line and clothes pins- just don’t leave it out overnight bc it rains! Beds were very comfortable and large! Only thing to be ware of- the shower sometimes went from hot to cold rapidly (back and forth between freezing and scalding hot). First three people to shower were fine but by the 4th, it...
