“What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!”

“The property was exactly as described with all amenities that one needs for such a stay. It was a pleasant one week stay at the holiday home. Very clean, organised and quiet environment. Had an issues with the heating of the holiday home as this was not working properly but at least it could be switched on manually. Other than that....a perfect stay! ”

“Die kleinen Hütten sind sehr schön ruhig gelegen mit einer Herde Schafe als Nachbarn. Es war alles wie beschrieben. Für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt zu zweit war alles nötige vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern hat super funktioniert.”

“Clean, spacious and well presented accommodation for 2 families over the NY week. Great storage facilities for all our outdoor kit (bikes, sledges, snowsports and hiking kit). Lots to do on doorstep and within short car journeys. Ran out of time to use sauna. Highly recommend.”

“We had a lovely stay. The house is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay (family of 5). It is well situated for access into Aviemore on foot and then the surrounding area. We’d happily stay here again in future trips. ”

“This was a last minute booking for us as a wee family treat. The hosts were there on arrival and kindly gave us lots of great tips for exploring the surrounding areas. There is paddleboarding and axe throwing adjacent to the site and Montrose and Brechin are a short drive away. Treat yourself to a lovely riverside woodland walk (blue door walk) in the pretty village of Edzell which is also a short car journey away. The host also advised us to try the Anchor pub in Johnshaven village for food...
