Cute little place but we arrived after dark and it was pitch black so a little scary. Some motion sensing lights would be helpful. The closet between the rooms had an opening so if a light was on in one room, you could see it in the other. Also noise traveled through so not very private. The door to the en suite is a barn door and doesn't cover the opening. Cute backyard with a barn cat you can feed. Also, when we arrived the neighbor dog barked for about an hour. Laundry room and kitchen were very well stocked and the beds were comfy.

Highfields weekend

We had such a nice stay at the Gentry while horse showing at Highfields. The cottage was so close to the event center that we walked there. We also walked to the Backyard restaurant and had a lovely meal. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful place

The Gentry is a delightful, cozy 2BR, 2BA house, which we chose for its proximity to the Highfields Event Center. Super convenient, with comfortable beds (a very important fact!), everything we needed in the kitchen. Hopefully we’ll be able to reserve it next time we’re in town for a show.

Very well appointed little home

The house was just what we needed. Everything was nice . The property is not in walking distance to downtown really and the neighborhood is a little rough. But we were comfortable.

Comfortable Cottage

My daughter and I were in Aiken for a horse show and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage! Very convenient to the showgrounds - about a 5min drive, easy drive from the Augusta airport - about 30min, and super close to the shops and restaurants in downtown Aiken. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood was nice and quiet - we’ll definitely be back!

A great place in an “opportunity neighborhood “

This cute little vintage house is very handy to downtown Aiken and the city’s extensive Equestrian facilities. The area is being gentrified and is quiet and peaceful, but some of the nearby properties are a bit run-down yet. The landlady is a Gem and runs a great little restaurant a short walk away.
