“We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together”

“absolutely amazing place, we do travel a lot and normally don't do reviews but this time... probably the best place we ever stayed in... really well equipt and situated on edge of very small village (no shops, no street lights, very friendly locals), just perfect if you want to switch off and take break from stress, this place is for you... perfect location for hikers, cyclists and dogs... we loved every minute spent there... even checked availability to stay week longer but my partner couldn't...

“We had a great stay at the Old Brewery Barn with our children (7 months and 2.5 years) and my husband's parents. The house was very well setup and clean, and was so thoughtfully setup with baby gear. Everything worked well and was comfortable and easy. The little village is adorable and makes access to the rest of the Lake District very easy. We would love to stay again sometime when we can enjoy the garden as well!”

“Property was as described on Vrbo , fairly easy to locate , although (What 3 Words ) app might be an idea to add to info . on arrival parking space was inadequate for family size car . Outside of property there was rubbish left by front door ie old floor covering and wood which didn’t give a good first impression . House was clean , and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay . Only down side was the smell of damp .. overall happy with our stay .”
