“I had an excellent stay. The place is so peaceful . The dining facility is great with great bar and dinner available at request. The quality of food is really good . The whole place is clean and excellent hospitality . Loved it .”

Staff at the hotel were really accomodating washed and dried our towels and tshirts as we had been on the beach. I feel the same every time I visit including my most recent visit in August 2025, which included a fabulous Greek feast. ”
“Obviously a lot of effort has been made by the new owners to create a comfortable and upgraded environment. They are working hard and constantly on what was obviously a worn down building. Looking out from the room the gardens and view is spectacular. The room was large and comfy with great, instant hot water and lovely deep bath. Authentic home cooked curry was delicious.”

“Porthclew House was a wonderful surprise. Our room was wonderful so beautiful to the side of it. There was even a communal use balcony which we and had a glass of wine in the evening.

“A very well appointed inn, scenically based on the edge of the haven, run by a charming family of four who could not be more friendly or helpful. The breakfast is superb and the evening menu varied. All meals are cooked to order and prepared to a high standard. In short, a splendid place to stay within reach of numerous local attractions. We intend to return.”
