Whilst this an amazing villa in terms of location and outside facilities like the pool, tennis court and outdoor kitchen The inside of the villa is lacking small rooms uncomfortable beds frequent problems with water supply cable tv and appliances. Almyrida has some amazing restaurants but you need a car as walking on the road to town is dangerous. The local beach is lovely for swimming but the villa is not suitable for families with grandparents or very young children due to multiple steps and stairs. The kitchen is very well stocked and bbq is great for family dinners. The manager of the villa is abrupt and sometimes rude.

Fantastic

This property has a stunning setting with elevated views of the ocean and direct views of the sunset. The grounds are amazing. We played tennis, swam and the pool, and lounged in the outdoors seating areas in the evening soaking in the sunset. The property is well located between Chania and Rethymno. We also traveled to Kissamos (Balos Beach Trip), Elafonissi Beach, and the Palace of Knossos, which were all less than a 2 hour drive from the house. We also enjoyed cooking out in the evenings or being able to walk to Almyrida for dinner.

Most Epic House Ever for our well travelled Family!

If this house is even close to your budget book it now! We have traveled with our adult kids to many European locations and they still can't believe how perfect, luxurious, and epic this house was for our week in Crete. The sunset views (just an enhancement of the amazing view all day) demanded that we use the outdoor cooking space almost every night. Learning how to successfully cook oven fired pizza in the outdoor area was a fun family win. Views of the mountains, bay, and sea from every level stunned us every morning and all day. The local beach town of Almyrida was way better than expected, we did lunches there a few times. Launched the included sup boards from there. This house was so stunning it was difficult to leave, but we balanced day trips (to Knossos, Preveli, and Elafonisi) with full days hanging at the pool.

Great Home With An Amazing View

We really enjoyed our stay - beautiful home and good location. A 5 minute walk to a small supermarket and 15 minute walk into the town with a beach, restaurants, bars and larger supermarkets. The home was very well appointed for our group of 5 adults. We enjoyed beautiful sunset views. Property manager was great - reached out before our vacation to help with planning our trip - dinner suggestions, car rental, tour reservations. She helped us schedule a chef to come prepare dinner for us one evening. Food was amazing! A nice welcome basket with coffee and snacks was also provided.

Best VRBO rental every

We loved our stay here. We were three generations and everyone thought Villa Kea was perfect. Property manager incredibly responsive and the Villa had all the amenities you could want. The views and outdoor space are incredible. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the view and the Villa is convenient to many areas on Crete. The highlight was the private chefs we booked through Alexandra our last night. Our best meal in Greece while watching the sunset over the Ocean. I hope to return someday to this perfect and special spot.

En pragtfuld og yderst veludstyret feriebolig der ligger med den smukkest tænkelige udsigt. Fantastic villa

This is a beautifully designed modern villa with splendid views of the sea, lovely landscaping and outdoor facilities that is a wonderful place to rent for a family or a group of friends. The owner is also excelent - she made an effort to stop by to introduce herself, was very responsive in the prior communications, and is really knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommended!

Wonderful house

We had a wonderful holiday in this house this summer. The view over the bay is incredible and it was a dream come true every morning. The house is well equipped, clean, tastefully furnished. Everything in the house was perfect and the person who greeted us at the house was very kind and available all the time if needed. The service was impeccable. The pool is large and suitable for all ages as there are several depths. There are many good restaurants in the area which made our stay even more enjoyable. A highlight was being able to watch a sea turtle in the bay from our terrace.

Wow - just wow !

There are 3 excellent reasons for staying at Villa Kea. Firstly, the villa is fantastic. The pictures don't come close to doing it justice. Everything is perfectly prepared and laid out, there's everything you'd need for a perfect holiday, and nothing at all has been skimped on. Secondly, the location is to die for. The views, the breeze, the sunsets over the sea, the sun on the mountains are all exceptional. Just a few minutes away is Almyrida with enough disparate restaurants to keep any family happy, and a great little bakery for fresh bread every morning. Chania is a short drive, as are plenty of villages, beaches, tavernas etc, but the villa feels totally isolated and private even though it's only two minutes from the coast road. Finally, Alexandra is a dream to work with on the booking and Carina is a total star on the day-to-day management. We had a local power / water issue, totally out of their control, but they grabbed the problem and enhanced our holiday - textbook, perfect customer service, all delivered with humour and a smile. Just book it - you won't be disappointed !

Perfect location

The villa is situated at the cliffs with a beautiful view over the bay. The whole area is very lovely decorated . There are a lot of beautiful places around the house, sunchairs, lounge groups, fatboys and two dining tables. You will find everything you need for a perfect vacation, two BBQs and a full equipped kitchen, even a fridge at the pool, air matrasses, sunshades for the beach and sets of boules. Everything is well organized (check in and out, cleaning...). We had a wonderful time here with five persons, but there would be space for eight. Four very nice furnished bedrooms with a wonderful view. We really miss it!!!

Wonderful home and experience (with some reservations)

Beautiful home and property. Well appointed and suitable for multiple families. Given the price point, however, I would expect more essentials being provided in the home such as laundry/wash pods, paper products, etc. The cost isn't much for the owner and it creates some minor inconvenience to the renter. Owner/manager were very kind and accommodating. One note of caution: I would highly recommend any prospective renter obtain insurance coverage for the home as upon departure, the home is looked over incredibly close and minor issues are raised by the owner and payment expected.

Great stay

The view is stunning! Hard pressed to find a better view. The property is very well appointed and really comfortable and beautiful. The pool area is stunning and the towns nearby are charming with lovely options for dining. We would very very happily come back. Can’t recommend this place enough.
